Lovely hotel close to beach

Posted Nov 27, 2015
Pros: Mainly the location and the facilities.
Cons: Nothing major.
Location: Right on the beach to watch sunset, some excellent restaurants along the waterfront and close to Seminyak for shopping.
The location and style of hotel, the more traditional Balinese, was really great. We could not fault the staff, the service and the excellent breakfast. We would stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Needs an update

Posted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: The pool and location to the beach and the restaurants near by are it's biggest strength!
Cons: Lower the prices for meals in their restaurants may encourage more people to dine there as the food in general was pretty good, more staff could le
Location: Location is good for nearby beaches, shopping & restaurants as you could walk a short distance to get anything you needed
Front desk staff could learn to be friendly and understand they are there to serve the guest. The guards, gardeners, cooks and staff cleaning the rooms are very friendly otherwise it seems the rest are going through the motions and it wasn't busy when I was there. Rooms are showing their age but in general aren't that bad Doesn't make the most of it's strength which is the access to the beach and nearby restaurants

Great location hotel

Posted Nov 14, 2015
Enjoyed our stay at the Jayakarta but the facilities in the room would benefit from serious renovation. Bathroom was grubby. Bath had a broken area which was rusted very badly. We were not able to take a bath. The toilet seat was also in need of replacement. Again, an exposed broken area. Room furniture was dated and "tired". Location was great, walking distancd to Cocoon beach club and easily accessible to Seminyak. Lots of bars, restaurants etc nearby. Staff very friendly and left a beautiful bday cake in my room for me which was unexpected.

Apartments a must for comfort

Posted Nov 11, 2015
Pros: The number of pools were great.
Cons: The rooms could be updated.
Location: Its located between Legain and Seminyak beaches which is really handy. There is a medical clinic just outside the gates also.
We currently stayed at this hotel when we were stuck due to the volcano activity. We booked 3 rooms, all different but I must say that the best by far was the 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. The facilities such as pool and gym where great, the beauty salon where I had waxing done could do with a face lift but otherwise it was generally good. I am a 5 star girl all the way however after staying here, I would definitely stay again.

Close to the beach, great hotel.

Posted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: Location was fantastic and with 3 pools there is one that will suit you.
Cons: It is a bit tired but is clean.
Location: Awesome sunsets on your doorstep. Turn right onto the beach and there are loads of restaurants on the beach with live music and bean bags to relax on
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast included. Close to the beach which has amazing restaurants on it. Comfortable and clean.

One of a few Bali style hotels left on the beach

Posted Oct 27, 2015
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: More shelves in the rooms to put clothes. Perhaps more care with repairs make the Finnish look more professional although this is only a minor thing.
Location: On the beach, lots of restaurants nearby to chose from. It's a lovely walk along the beach to Kuta. there is so much to do and see
I love this hotel, have stayed there before. Although a little tired its in a good location on the beach and access to many nice restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is for all, couples and families of all ages. It's also good that they now have wifi in all rooms which is a bonus for us. I am looking forward to staying again at the Jayakarta on our next visit to Bali.

Great location

Posted Oct 16, 2015
Pros: Location, swimming pools, nice gardens.
Cons: Rooms need upgrading
Location: Nice and handy to Seminyak and Kuta which can easily be accessed by walking along the beach.Good variety of restaurants and shops.
Having stayed here 7 yrs ago thought it might of upgraded its rooms. Breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to previous visit and cleaning of rooms average.Great location and nice pools and I suppose you get what you pay for so overall not too many down sides.

Run down and very noisy

Posted Oct 13, 2015
I stayed at the here for two weeks with family during the September/October school holidays..while the hotel grounds and pool area etc are lovely...the rooms are terrible..they've not been updated in years..we also found the walls and doors were not very insulated so you can hear your neighbours around you and above..I don't normally complain about hotels but I don't think I got a good nights sleep the entire stay..
