“We ended up being upgraded to the postmaster suite. It was huge! Comfy bed. Walkable location. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was lovely. ”

“A surprising bit of luxury in a small guest house. We stayed at the Glen Quarter for one night at the start of a coastal tour, but now I kind of wish we'd booked two nights instead. Our stay fell on a Tuesday night in the off season, so I feel like we barely sampled the charms of Kinsale and now I want to come back for a longer stand (this happens A LOT in Ireland... Charming smaller towns feel so welcoming and familiar, but are eclipsed by the glamorous bigger cities). But back to the Glen……

“Very peaceful environment with no pressure to do anything or be anywhere. Local shops were a drive away. The owners were so friendly and helpful when we showed up from our disaster travels. They helped us get food and to finally get our rental car…a must for travel. So thankful to them.”

“Das Emmet House ist ein ganz besonders schönes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Betten sehr bequem. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Frühstück - auf Bestellung wird alles mit einer kurzen Wartezeit vorbereitet und es hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Auch das Abendessen im Hotel war sehr lecker. Parkplätze sind direkt vorm Hotel zahlreich und gratis vorhanden. In der Nähe gibt es einige Läden, Pubs und Restaurants. Mit dem Auto sind einige schöne Strände schnell……

The staff could not have been nicer. The location could not have been better. Be sure not to miss the wonderful Bulman Pub in the next village on top of the hill.”
