Nice hotel but it's too far from the city center

The staff was nice and the room was clean but the hotel is way out of the way. We spent a lot of money on taxi fare getting into the heart of the city.

Family friendly Hotel in South Dublin

First impressions were positive as you are welcomed by well kept grounds and beautiful grand foyer. The staff was helpful and friendly. Check in and out was quick. Room a bit on the small size for family of four but clean, nicely decorated, and perfect for sleeping accommodations. The breakfast was outstanding! I would recommend buying the breakfast when bookibooking. Full hot breakfast (eggs cooked any way, meats, cheese, pancakes for Kids, pastries, etc). Pots of coffee or tea brought to your table. Best breakfast we enjoyed in our 2+ weeks in Europe.

Wonderful stay in Ireland

Pros: The history and the great service.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is convenient to everything.
The staff was great, Sonia helped us book our tour and gave reccommendations that we were very grateful for. We want to especially thank Fernando for his fast and friendly service in the hotel bar. The hotel is set on lovely grounds. I would intend that everyone check out this great hotel.

Dark and dated

The hotel looked good from the photographs but it was old fashioned. Our rooms on the 4th floor were dated & extremely dark, even with all the lights on. They were very hot & had no air conditioning. The windows had restricted opening for safety reasons. We asked for a fan but one was never brought up. The choices in the Brasserie were limited & expensive. It was, again, very dimly lit. Breakfast was good. Reception staff were very good.

Cons: put air conditioner
Hotel web site and Expedia have not provided important information such as no air-conditioner in this hotel room. This hotel doesn't have an air-conditioner in rooms. You can't charge your phone battery without an adapter in this hotel room. I asked why the hotel doesn't not provide this important information in the web site in advance so that I can have an informed decision to book this hotel. I didn't get a make-sense explanation from the hotel front desk and manager as well. A staff member and the manger (female) provided an electric fan and suggested to buy an adapter in the vending machine inside hotel(7 Euro) sold about 4 Euro in SPAR nearby. On top of that , they said if you are not satisfied , we refund now. I visited Dublin from the U.S. My business was supposed to start next day and I didn't know where to go or rebook . This is a terrible experience.

Beautiful building, off the beaten path

Massive property, located within walking distance of bus stops or even the city center if you have the time/energy. A few local options for food (pubs, pizza), all of which were fantastic. Room was massive for European standards and ours had a queen and twin beds when only two twins were requested.
