Good place for a business trip

Posted Jul 7, 2016
Great place for adults traveling for business or sporting events. The open bar for the managers reception is great, just not much food for the family. The pool is small but fitness center is nice. Breakfast is very good. Not real close to Camden yards, Convention center or the Harbor, but very doable!

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very nice.
Cons: It was disappointing that our swipe cards did not work and we had to wait 1/2 hour in the hallway with our bags until we were moved to another room.
Location: 10-15 minute walk to the Inner Harbor.
I chose this hotel because it fit our price range for a family road trip. I prefer to stay in hotels offering a complimentary breakfast as I like to start my day early and don't want to have to find somewhere to eat breakfast. The breakfast was very nice, with an omelet bar. The hotel room was comfortable and clean for our family of 4. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Inner Harbor. A negative would be that there was no parking lot - only valet parking or a parking garage next door - neither a cheap option. Also, our swipe cards to our room did not work, so we couldn't get in to our room and had to stand in the hallway with all our bags for 1/2 and hour until maintenance came and couldn't open the room and ultimately we were given another room.

Pros: Fantastic free breakfast, the staff is wonderful, and there's even a free (yes, FREE) happy hour with snacks and open bar from 5:30 to 7:30 every day.
Cons: Parking is $32/day for valet and $16/day for the local parking deck next door. Very expensive when you don't expect that.
Location: Within a $8 Uber to almost anything you might want to do in the Inner Harbor area.
Was there on business for 3 days. Enjoyed my stay and would love to go back on personal vacation.

Location is good. Easy walk to the Inner Harbor.

Pros: The location was great. There is a parking garage almost adjacent to hotel where you can park on weekends for $5.00 each night and avoid the hotel fee
Cons: The elevator system was slow and I believe was not even working at one point. I know these things happen, but their was no attempt to let people know.
Location: The hotel is located in an area that is an easy walk to the Inner Harbor. Plenty to do in this area of town.
When I arrived I was given a room I did not book. I needed two queen beds, but was given a room with one king. Initially, I was told, despite my confirmed reservation, that they had no more rooms with two queen beds. After much conversation and blame placed on Expedia, they found a room. The staff was courteous throughout the ordeal and in the end the room they gave me probably was a big upgrade from what I had originally booked. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view was great. However, the elevator system is very slow, or at least was on this weekend, and is inadequate when dealing with a full hotel (weddings, graduations, and Preakness in Baltimore). I ended up having to walk down 31 flights of stairs when checking out because I could no longer wait for the elevator. They did not inform us that something might be wrong. Overall, despite the problems, I think it is an above average hotel that had a bad weekend. I would go back. Staff was great.
