It started with the front desk clerk at check in. Unfortunately, they did not speak enough English to clearly communicate with us. The pet fee is not listed online, and we had looked for it. They charged $25 per pet and but first he said it was $25 plus tax and then had me pay again the same amount saying, no that's for each of them. I understand pet fees, but that should be disclosed before I pay for the room so I can accurately compare costs. I would have chosen another hotel if I had been aware. I travel with my dogs for events, so I always check for the fees.
When we went up to our room on the third floor, we were greeted by the very strong smell of marijuana in the hallway and then even stronger in the room. We were tired and decided to deal with it but I wish we requested another room, because the walls were paper thin, no sound proofing and we had the worst night of sleep I've ever had in a hotel, with the constant sound of the elevator, the stairwell door banging shut and hearing the adjoining rooms and everyone who walked down the hall. We were traveling with dogs and there was so much noise that they thought there were intruders.
The only plus is the full size fridge, although it smelled funky and that it was an easy on and off the highway.
