Pet-friendly hotel

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: Clean, spacious and beds are comfortable.
Cons: Please see comment above - experience.
Location: We were only passing through on our way to New England. Not a convenient location for us.
The reason we chose this hotel is because they are pet-friendly. I would like to suggest for this hotel to have a designated floors for guests with pets who are more accepting of the noise coming from a dog barking. We were a few minutes out looking for a place to eat when we received from the front desk to come back to the hotel because our little dog was making too much noise. Having pets all on one floor would have eliminated this situation - other pet owners would understand. There was a statement in the bathroom that states: reuse towels/linens, which is not a problem for us, however, there are no towel bars to hang the wet towels to dry! The hotel's location is so out of the way from the interstate. I believe people are looking for easy-on/easy-off when passing through an area headed to their final destination.

Very nice facility, friendly staff, excellent food

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: Staff was very accommadating, eager to assist
Cons: it was a very pleasant stay.
Location: Restaurants, art galleries, inner harbor area within 1 mile walk.
We were in town for a couple of days. Easy walk from the train, as well as to Inner Harbor area. The hotel looks recently renovated. Lobby is lively, with a quiet sitting room with a large fireplace off to the side. Excellent place to watch the comings and goings. The hotel restaurant has great food, excellent craft cocktails. We have a chef in the family and she was equally impressed. The hotel is centrally located with UBaltimore to the west, and the Inner Harbor to the east. Many local watering holes, and restaurants in the area to satisfy any taste. The staff was fantastic. It was all hands on deck all weekend, with managers helping out at the bar, and serving tables. Even the bellman was helping out.

In the heart of Baltimore

Posted Jan 24, 2017
Pros: Please see above
Cons: If a sign could be erected for the carpark across the road that says Hotel Indigo patrons park here (for those with car) so entrance not missed.
Overall our experience at this hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly, the location was perfect, the room was clean and nicely decorated. I wanted to stay longer I enjoyed the experience so much. Will definitely book this hotel again.

Perfect for a downtown holiday stay

Posted Dec 26, 2016
Pros: It was perfectly located, the price was right and staff were friendly.
Cons: It would be ideal if there were a discount for the Franklin Street Garage. Street parking is tricky due to hours and limits.
Location: Shops and food in Mt. Vernon, Walter's Art Gallery (free!!), Peabody, shops along Charles Street, downtown Enoch Pratt Free Library, Inner Harbor.
We enjoyed our stay in the historical YMCA building that is now the lovely Hotel Indigo. It was easy to get to a myriad of restaurants 3 blocks away on Charles St, walk down to the Inner Harbor, catch the bus to head elsewhere in the city and enjoy the sights and lights of Mt. Vernon and the Washington Monument.

Pros: See comments above.
Cons: There is some confusion introduced when guests deal with the method of payment used to provide secure parking in the parking garage across the street.
Location: see above
A fine hotel located conveniently in the heart of Baltimore. We will be using it many times in the future when we visit our children and grand children who live in nearby Charles Village, Baltimore. The hotel's staff are uniformly warm, friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, but strange interpretation of "a view"

Posted Dec 18, 2016 on Hotels
As there was room for special requests when booking, I wrote that this would be our first trip to Baltimore and we'd appreciate a room with a view, if possible. There were two big drapes, so we were hopeful. When we pulled one back, it revealed a view of the inside courtyard, with the usual ugly utility items, and the other revealed the wall of our room, as there wasn't even a window. Some view! Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.

Thank you for your stay and for your feedback. We apologize for not providing the room with a view of your choice, but we are glad it did not deter you from your overall pleasant experience. We would love to have you back with us again, and we ensure that the service issue you experienced, will not be repeated. We appreciate your business. Safe Travels, Jason C, General Manager

First Class boutique hotel in excellent location

Posted Dec 12, 2016
Pros: Location, staff and facility. Friendly in house restaurant and lounge.
Cons: Parking is a bit inconvenient, with a public lot across the street. They should offer valet parking (if they do we did not see it)
Location: Can walk (or take the free transit bus) to places. Hotel is close to Walters are museum and one of our favorite restaurants - The Helmand.
We frequently travel to Baltimore on personal business. We like to stay downtown and walk (or take the free transit bus) to attractions and restaurants. Hotel is close to Walters are museum and one of our favorite restaurants - the Helmand.
