The staff were amazing - what a welcome to Baltimore. Warm, friendly, professional, engaged. Beautifully appointed common spaces, with supercool jazzy bluesy background music.

Convenient to the monument, harbor, and Hopkins

Pros: Clean. Stylishly appointed.
Location: Nice walk to the harbor, restaurants, and the Walters museum.
Lovely hotel. Comfortable, spacious room. The lobby gets a bit loud during the Sunday brunch.

Beautiful hotel - sketchy area

The property itself is beautiful, the room was great, the staff top notch. The parking for the hotel is across the street, not a big deal. However, the parking garage is next door to a homeless service center and there were vagrants hanging out on the sidewalk. If I had not been traveling alone I wouldn't have thought twice about it. It caused me to ensure that I walked to the nearby 7-11, and retrieve anything I needed out of my car, by dark. Having no idea about "good" or "bad" areas near this hotel, I erred on the side of caution, which was a shame really. I'm a seasoned traveler, national and international, and I would have made this same decision regardless of whether the city was Baltimore or Des Moine or Eugene.

Great hotel for family visit

I have stayed here a few times after trying out a number of other Baltimore hotels. The rate is a very good value compared to the quality of the hotel. Stay here if you are visiting Baltimore.
