I had a good experience in this hotel. It was clean, room was big, clean and has a good shower, coffee, fridge and microwave. Good internet and tv services. Some difficulties: the shower water went from hot to cold randomly. It was difficult to take a shower not worry to get burn suddenly or frozen. Also, it was noisy, we can hear the other room tv, people walking around. The doors close very heavy and it was like a huge bang in the middle of the night. The breakfast was good, and the lady serving wafers was very nice.

We currently have our maintenance engineer looking into the hot/cold water issue you brought up. Yes, our doors are very heavy; they are a highly rated fire door for your safety, but doors do not bang themselves, and I am sorry that other guests caused that disturbance. When issues are brought to our attention, we will take action to correct the issue without getting you involved, did you report the TV noise? Thank you again, and we do hope to see you again soon.

Hi Nashea, I see that you stayed with us for 4 nights and we do appreciate your business, however I do not see that you reported any issue during your stay. Communication is key to everyone having a great stay, by being silent you only deny yourself that stay and us the ability to assist you. Unfortunately, a review score of a 1 doesn’t help anyone; without you sharing your experience with us we cannot learn from it or correct the issue. Perhaps you would not mind contacting Mike the General Manager and provide him some insight.

Hearing all the doors slam was the most annoying part of my stay. For some reason no one would keep their doors from slamming every night starting around 8pm.

This hotel has very clean room. Unfortunately guests near my room was too noisy and fighting in the middle of the night. I can’t sleep until 1:30 am but I’m glad police finally removed them. Breakfast just ok, they write Sunday menu is turkey sausage but they served pork patties every day. It would be nice if they have another options for people who don’t eat pork. TV on my room wasn’t working, I told receptionist but they didn’t fix it.

Hi Novita, WE are glad you found the room clean and we do offer both pork and turkey sausage, we may have been temporally out, just ask the attendant. The hotel did get a complaint about a guest dispute and we took immediate action and the guest was removed by the Laurel Police Department. We do apologize for their poor behavior.

The place felt dirty, had to ask for clean sheets and towels, never mind all the hair everywhere. If they truly clean they wouldn’t have hair behind after people leave. The refrigerator made a horrible noise all night long. Near the front entrance there was dog poop left behind for the 2 days I was there.

Hi Amet,I am very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your stay with us. We are very disturbed and surprised about your comments. As you read our reviews here on Expedia and other sites we are continually praised for our clean rooms and customer service. Floyd, one of our front desk agents spoke to you just yesterday (4-3-24) and you made no mention of these issues until now. When you choose not to communicate you only deny yourself a great stay and the hotels the ability to assist you. Your scores are not just a score, our hotel truly cares about your experience. The housekeeping manager is looking into the cleaning of the room and reviewing photographs taken during the inspection prior to your arrival, we also found that there was NO “dog poop” in the location you state or by any other entrance. What we did find was a brown blotches of adhesive that was used in the renovation of the hotel entrance, we can see how if you look at it quickly one might assume what you did. We appreciate your comments although we may disagree with them, they do keep us on our toes. We only wished that you would have communicated with us during your stay and not afterwards so we could have provided you with the stay you expect from the Best Western Laurel.

After check in and settled in our room after a long 3 hr. Drive, the room directly above on the 5th floor started at 4:00 with a reciprocating saw to dismantle a toilet off the wall. The noice was deafening and shook our room. I went up to the next floor to investigate. The front desk they had no idea. The maintenance supervisor was called and took care of telling the worker to stop. Unbelievable! I almost was ready to check out.

We do apologize for the inconvenience of a repair being done in the restroom above the room you occupied. The front desk was not informed by the General Contractor that they would be working in that area that day. I am glad that our maintenance team was able to quickly assist you and have the work stopped. I fully understand your frustration and if proper communication had been made by the Contractor, this would never have happened, and we are very sorry for that inconvenience. We have addressed this with them. The work hours are approximately 10am until 5:30pm daily. The renovation is nearly complete with about 21 days left, and we are very excited to move into the hotel’s next chapter as a premier Hotel in Laurel. Perhaps the next time you are in Laurel, you will consider staying with us again so you may enjoy the amenities and excellent customer service we offer to all our guests.

Stayed 2 nights. Hot water lasted less than 5 minutes the first night, and there was none at all the second night. Staff was notified but a repairman couldnt come till after my stay; which i understand. As this was a rather significant inconvenience to me I expected some sort of particular consideration but i received none. Everything else was acceptable besides that.

There was no hot water. It was a staycation for me so that put a hug damper in my relaxation. Otherwise everything was clean.

The hot water system was operating normally in the hotel there are safety controls in each shower valve that control that ensure one can not get scalled. The doors to the rooms are very thunderous. Loud to an extent that it wakes you up your sleep with a big bang whenever other guest close their doors. NEED door closer to quietly close the doors. It’s really terrible. Can’t rest in peace and quiet

Dear Alfred, the doors are mandated to close fully on their own for security and fire purposes. Unfortunately not everyone in considerate of others as most of the time it is another guest that is phyically slamming the door shut. We do apologize for that inconvenience. The doors do close on their own but not at a speed that causes excessive sound; to fast and the door will hit you as you are walking in and out of the room. We understand that rest is important for everyone here at Best Western Laurel truely does our best to ensure our guests have a restfull and memorable stay.

Overnight stay. Front desk staff was nice, quick check in process (I prepaid), room was very clean, bathroom was very clean, water was hot. I didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast. Hotel is undergoing construction but it didn’t interfere with my stay or experience. Overall I was pleasantly surprised considering this to be a Best Western. I would stay at this location again if I was in the area.

Pleasantly Surprised
Except for the horrible rainstorm and walking through the construction in the exterior front, my stay was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and toasty. I love hotels when they still have a microwave in the too. Breakfast in the morning looked tasty but I only had an apple and coffee. I wish more hotels would have turkey bacon or sausages. Will return when business allows.

The outside looks a little sketchy, but I think it just because they are in the middle of renovations. But the inside was great and updated and the rooms were nice. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The man who checked us in was super friendly. We ate breakfast in the morning and that was just ok. But overall it was a nice hotel and we would stay here again.

Please comp my stay
It was unfortunate that our suite was cold (thermostat kept resetting), leaking sink, clogged shower and opposite temperature label, and we heard EVERYTHING in the hall way, since we were next to elevator. We came to relax but were too busy fixing the issues.

Hi Mona, I am very sorry to hear that you state you experienced issues while you were staying with us. I see that you have stayed with us several times since Oct 23 and are aware of the great care we take with our guests, and I am confused why you did not report any issues to the front desk that we could have assisted you immediately. Alerting us after the fact only denies you a great night’s stay. I did take time to go to the room you occupied and found all items in the room were functioning normally. The heat pump does cycle on and off once the temperature is reached, just like at home. The tub does have a push down fixture to close and open the drain; some guests do get confused on its operation, but the tub was not clogged and was draining on inspection. We do apologize if other guests disturbed you during your stay as we do see that you have been in this room type and same location just one floor up and enjoyed your stay. We do appreciate your comments and sharing your thoughts with us. We hope that you will re-consider staying with us again.
