Amazing Hotel right on the Inner Harbor, MD

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: EVERYTHING The room was amazing, the staff was so friendly and helpful. So close to all the attractions around the Inner Harbor
Cons: If the valet knew parking was included in my reservation, I wouldn't have to go drive around trying to find parking when I didn't need to on arrival.
Location: The hotel is right on the Inner Harbor. Walking distance to the National Aquarium and Ripley's Believe It Or Not and many great restaurants.
We reserved a room for a romantic weekend getaway. The room was amazing. We had a beautiful view of the Inner Harbor. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade, told valet parking was included in our reservation and given all kinds of information about staying in Baltimore. Carmen at the desk was so friendly and made us feel like family immediately. When we got to our room, we couldn't believe our eyes. Spacious room, amazing view, quaint sitting area and when I laid down on the bed it felt like I just melted into the bed. The bathroom was huge. The tub was huge and so relaxing. I loved the TV in the bathroom mirror! The staff was helpful all weekend. They gave us some great information on local restaurants and stores. We were within walking distance of everything to do in the Inner Harbor. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a weekend away or longer!

Beth, thank you so much for the glowing review of your recent getaway to Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore! I'm so glad that Carmen found out that you were celebrating a romantic getaway and upgraded you to one of our amazing Premier Suites. With 700 square feet of comfort, including two floor-to-ceiling bay windows that face towards the Inner Harbor, these suites offer plenty of comfort and breathtaking views. And, as you've described, the bathroom in each suite is exquisite, with an oversized soaking tub, double vanity, spearate large shower, and, yes, HDTV built into the vanity mirror. I'm happy to read that you enjoyed the area so much, and of course the fact that the hotel is right across the street from the shops, restaurants, and attractions along the Inner Harbor sure does make these places easy to reach. Thank you for recommending the hotel to other travelers--we hope you're planning to return as well!

Great hotel in wonderful location

Posted Jan 6, 2017
We stayed here after two medical visits. We needed a refrigerator in the room and a comfortable place for my daughter to rest. We had wonderful compassionate staff who helped make things as easy for us as possible. Parking garage right next door.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent stay with us. We're pleased that you enjoyed our spacious, newly redesigned guestrooms (we boast the largest standard accommodations in the Inner Harbor area). Our location indeed places guests right across the street from the shopping, dining, and attractions along the waterfront. Please be aware that parking prices ($24 per night for self parking, $39 for valet parking) are very much in line with Baltimore hotels. We hope to host you again soon!

Great Hotel for inner harbor stay

Posted Dec 20, 2016
Classy, we may have been the youngest couple there by 15 years but that was fine for us. Don't expect a rowdy bunch. I will definitely stay here again. Just a heads up their is construction going on next door, not the hotels fault and can't be controlled. Fine on the weekend but if you're looking during the week you will hear the banging start after 7 am

Tom, we're glad to hear that you had a great visit, and that you recommend the hotel to other travelers. We are excited by the construction taking place adjacent to the hotel, as our neighborhood will soon be home to luxury residential units with ground-floor retail that will prove meaningful to hotel guests as well. To avoid the construction sights and sounds, we recommend that guests select harborview or courtyard guestrooms, neither of which face towards the work taking place outside. We hope to host you both again soon!

Nice hotel, close to shopping and restaurants

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Overall great trip however, I was quite annoyed with the staff I spoke with after my visit. I noticed an additional $200 charge to my visit. I called to inquire and the guy I spoke too was very rude and said that there were three signs at the front desk explaining the hold. I did not see any signs neither did my boyfriend. And regardless of signs...someone should have explained that. I didn't appreciate being spoken to like I was an idiot.

Roseann, we're glad to hear that you had a great time visiting our Inner Harbor hotel! I apologize that the debit card policy was not explained to you during check-in. While each station at the Front Desk does have a sign informing guests about what happens when presenting a credit card, we have instructed our Front Desk team to verbally discuss this with guests. Please understand that the authorization to cover possible incidental charges is by no means unique to our hotel or the Sonesta brand; for years, travel experts recommend that guests use a credit card during the check-in process, and settle at checkout with a debit card so that the exact amount needed can be authorized. Again, I apologize both for the lack of explanation at check-in, as well as for the way you were spoken to when you called the hotel following your stay. On behalf of the entire team, I certainly hope we have the opportunity to host you again and provide a better experience.
