Overall great trip however, I was quite annoyed with the staff I spoke with after my visit. I noticed an additional $200 charge to my visit. I called to inquire and the guy I spoke too was very rude and said that there were three signs at the front desk explaining the hold. I did not see any signs neither did my boyfriend. And regardless of signs...someone should have explained that. I didn't appreciate being spoken to like I was an idiot.

Roseann, we're glad to hear that you had a great time visiting our Inner Harbor hotel! I apologize that the debit card policy was not explained to you during check-in. While each station at the Front Desk does have a sign informing guests about what happens when presenting a credit card, we have instructed our Front Desk team to verbally discuss this with guests. Please understand that the authorization to cover possible incidental charges is by no means unique to our hotel or the Sonesta brand; for years, travel experts recommend that guests use a credit card during the check-in process, and settle at checkout with a debit card so that the exact amount needed can be authorized. Again, I apologize both for the lack of explanation at check-in, as well as for the way you were spoken to when you called the hotel following your stay. On behalf of the entire team, I certainly hope we have the opportunity to host you again and provide a better experience.
