Room was not as nice as other Sleep Inns that I have stayed at, but no major complaints. Everything was clean but there was rust in the bathtub. TV was a nice size but chair for desk was old and uncomfortable. Staff were friendly. Overall hotel is outdated. Hot breakfast in the morning was good. Not the best location. GPS got mixed up because of one way streets in the area.

Nice hotel. Clean. Price good.

Pros: Quiet rooms. Regular continental breakfast. Centrally located between Baltimore and DC.
Cons: Parking was tight when the hotel hosted a party.
Location: Not a bad location. Restaurants within a mile or so. 2 minutes from highways.

Fine Hotel, Sketchy Neighborhood

Posted Nov 7, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel itself was fine. The staff were very kind and helpful. The free breakfast was adequate and well stocked. The only downside to the hotel is the surrounding neighborhood. This area of Laurel did not strike me as being the most safe/family-friendly environment. There is a neighboring property that semi-shares the same parking lot that looks like a very shady "live-in" motel. I can't imagine the types of things that go on there. I would stay in this hotel again as: it was very affordable, clean, beds were comfortable, nice free breakfast, decent wifi, standard indoor pool, and easy access to BWI Airport. But, I wouldn't advise going in and out of here late at night, for safety reasons. If you're wanting to travel on a budget, not be terribly far from DC and its amenities, have a clean comfortable room, and you can overlook a sketchy surrounding area, this property is a fine choice.
