The male staff member checking us in on Saturday 15th Aug was rude and rigid regarding the check in time. This meant that there were over 50 customers waiting in a long queue to check in at 3pm because he refused to start any early, despite having the discretion to. The same male employee was working on shift for two days of our trip and whenever we bumped into him in the lift or other areas of the hotel, he was rude, unfriendly and ignored us. On our third day (Monday 17th Aug), there was a change of staff and this shifted the environment from hostile to pleasant. The female staff member was lovely. We overheard her conversing and interacting with other customers and she was so friendly and you could see she enjoyed her trip. She even gave two seperate customers complimentary early check in, which told us that her colleague a few days before was being difficult and egocentric. We were constantly disappointed that the complimentary water dispenser on the side of the bar was frequently empty and/or there was inconsistency in clean glasses being replenished. This was frustrating as it was a very hot weekend and made our weekend uncomfortable. We stayed on the 1st floor and the standard to which our room was cleaned was quite appalling. We found two random tablets lying on the carpet: one under the bed and one near the desk which clearly hadn’t been cleaned up by housekeeping. The side table was also overtly dusty and I had to wipe it down with tissue and water.

Would highly recommend, very pleasant staff and breakfast 10/10

Staff were super pleasant and accommodating. The location was walkable with free parking, which was great. Room was comfortable and clean. No frills but had a very pleasant stay.

A good location with a sea view. Well kept grounds and restaurant.

Cet hôtel fut une belle trouvaille pour notre famille. Voyageant avec 3 jeunes enfants, nous avons apprécié l’espace que la chambre nous procurait. Les installations étaient superbes et bien aménagées. La ville de Cork n’était pas trop loin rendant les déplacements courts. Nous recommandons définitivement cet établissement à d’autres voyageurs.
