"will use again if in area. "
Confirmed booking in morning as would not be arriving 'til late p.m. Arrived to pleasant greeting and shown to our room. Unpacked and went down to bar to enjoy a well kept pint and a wine for the wife . shown the menu and ordered what turned out to be a very good meal in a larger than expected dining room. Would recommend to anybody not requiring silver service and a doorman. Have recommended it to my family who live nearby so that they can pass on our friends visiting the area.

"Great location, slightly tired rooms"
Stayed in an exec room in the new garden suite. Great sized room with 2 bathrooms and separate TV (sofa bed hence second bathroom) room. Bed was comfy but the rooms, although not dirty were very tired. Bathrooms were fine.

"Romantic night away!"
Stayed for 1 night. Stayed in the astley hotel room, very nice room and really clean, beautifully decorated. Bed very comfy. The breakfast is really nice and the waiter was very helpful and friendly. One thing I thing could be changed is the check out time, i think 10 is a little early especially on a Sunday morning, 11 would be better.

"Traditional English Pub Lodging"
We absolutely loved our time at the Pear Tree Inn. The owner was very helpful and friendly to our family as we settled in. The family room was very clean and comfortable and was exactly as pictured, it included everything we would need. We stayed on a Saturday night with our two kids who absolutely LOVED the place, even with the noise from the bar below... it added to the character! The breakfast was wonderful and so was dinner. If you are looking for a quiet country inn, look elsewhere... if you are looking for a traditional English pub, don't hesitate and book here. It was my son's favorite place that we stayed during our UK trip.

Pocket Guide: Banbury, Banbury Pet-friendly Hotels

Banbury is a bustling market town in North Oxfordshire. It is known largely for its famed Banbury Cakes, and for the old English nursery rhyme, Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross. There remains a cross in the town centre along with a statue of the lady on her horse. Nearby Cropredy, 4 miles along the Oxford Canal, hosts one of Britain's biggest folk festivals every August.
