Lovely! I would go back if I am ever in the area. The hosts were very friendly and flexible with our check-in, as we would arrive very late. They left us the keys in a safety box outside the house; which was much appreciated. The rooms are spacious and the beds are huge and super comfortable.

Disappointing stay
Didn't see the hosts once besides them giving me the keys, neither the man nor the woman offered to help with my bags even when they saw me struggling to manage everything. There was one towel, no body lotion, I'm not impressed at all

Wonderful stay
Excellent friendly service from the owners. They couldn’t do enough for us. Room was great - very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend.

Wouldn’t recommend
It was good just to sleep and nothing else. The room overlooks to a very busy crossroad and there’s always car lights directly to your room regardless of the blocking curtains. The door lock didn’t seem safe and not too sure about where to check in/out as there wasn’t a desk or place to report to. Wouldn’t use again but not terrible.

Everything about my stay at Ashlea House was excellent. Friendly, helpful landlady, clean quiet room, safe and convenient location, and multiple delicious breakfast choices. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in Banbury!

Its the little things that spoil a very good guesthouse
Easy to find . Helpful and friendly host. Comfortable bed and clean. However tv remote ( handled by everyone during covid ) had not been cleaned , ever by the look of it . It was sticky to touch. Clearly overlooked by cleaners ) shame because otherwisei it was very clean . Breakfast was excellent.

The room was very clean and the service was great. We stayed in the room a few days but we're not unduly bothered by the staff. Cannot beat the location as it is so close to the town center. If I find myself visiting Banbury again I will certainly see if I can stay there.

Great two night stay at this family run B&B. The room was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed and clean en-suite shower. The breakfast service was excellent! I would highly recommend a stay here.

Good central B&B
Great B&B for work stay and close to decent restaurants for dinner. Would definitely stay again. Only room for improvement is ensuite for family room is a narrow partition. If a family stayed in the room, it truly would be a little tight.

Good location, very nice to the centre. Very good breakfast (so many ways to eat fresh eggs :) ) and very nice rooms. I'm generally really happy with my time in this property. A couple of details: * The toilets need a couple of flushes sometimes, it would benefit from more powerful ones * insufficient amount of shampoo / body wash per person >>> We were two people and staying for two nights. I found only one little container of body wash and shampoo for both of us for the two nights. I wasn't really happy with even having one per day, but I shut up. I was really disappointed to find out that the next day there weren't new shampoo/s waiting for us and I had to go down and ask. I was told that it was usually enough with one for two people for two nights... I was puzzled. Am I the only one who showers? Anyway, the lady gave me the required shampoo without further discussion. Regardless of this episode, my stay was great, the breakfast really good and the location too.
