Nice enough place. VERY noisy room.

Pros: Staff was very nice.
Cons: People should know you're goign to be in a motel but you still might have to climb stairs
Location: Food options are close by.
Everyone was very nice, and the room was clean. I had a room on the 2nd floor of this motel. I live in downtown Toronto, and wore the earplugs all night that I use to cut the sound of my motorcycle engine, but I was still kept awake and woken up by the amount of noise in this room. -Loud traffic on two sides of the room -Airconditioner heater that switched on abruptly at a roar every so often -Able to hear every word of a conversation next door, and could tell exactly how the hockey game was going on the TV. I don't think they were being excessively loud - but the room had one of those doors you can use to make two rooms into a shared space. Mine was closed, but it was like I was right there with them. I'm the city, I'm used to sirens, traffic, music, etc and never normally sleep with earplugs.

Yes we have a second floor, usually we don't book anyone up stairs until all bottom rooms are full. So in your case all ground floor rooms where taken before you booked. We are sorry if this was an inconvenience for you. Did you address the front desk at anytime to help with the situation of noise? That way we could of helped at that time. Clean, well maintained with a pleasant atmosphere.

We were in the area briefly and chose this motel for the convenience of taking our dogs. Usually pet friendly hotels are not the nicest. The place looked like it had been updated recently and there was a nice common area for guests. Most important to me was the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed which was pristine. It was conveniently located downtown where there were a couple of nice restaurants and the hotel served a continental breakfast with a decent number of choices.

a place to stay to go on a snowmobile tour

Pros: It had a good breakfast area where you had access to everything you needed to make your own meal and it was free
Location: it is in the middle of the small town and would be near the things that brought you to Bancroft
It's a clean little motel in a small town. We went there to go out on a snowmobile tour and just needed a place to stay overnight. It was comfortable and it had a very good breakfast that was included in the price. It's not fancy but it was all we needed for the time we were there.

The hotel is tired. The rooms are tired and the entire wing we stayed in could not flush the toilets and the sinks and tubs did not drain, so no shower in the morning. The toilet gurgled all night. Cost was $174.00 for a sad room and plugged plumbing.

Thank you for your feed back. Like any motel we have unforseen circumstances that do come up. Things where taken care of as quickly and quitely as possible, so not to disturb any of our guest. Over priced, not upkept, poor customer service

Poor check in service, stood at front desk for five minutes being ignored. Parking was terrible. Trucks and trailers took up every spot. No designated area for just regular vehicles. Room was good and clean. Shower took 5 minutes to heat up and the hot water lasted only a few minutes. Walls are very thin. You could here everyones conversation next to you. I was very disappointed in the pool. It was super dirty with big hairballs floating around. The hot tub was ice cold. When I informed the only person working at the hotel that night, they responded by saying oh well not my problem. I stayed here for the pool and hot tub for my kid. I for sure won't be returning.

Thank you for your feed back. We are sorry to see you stay was unpleasent. Our front desk staff great each guest as soon as they walk in. If by chance they where dealing with a guest before you arrived and did not see you our apologies. We do it in sequins as guest walk in the door and by phone calls coming in. So sometimes there is a waiting period to check in. Yes this time of year we are very busy with snowmobilers and there trucks and trailers do take up a large part of our parking. But we have a very large park lot to accomodate all. When we are super busy and the pool and hot tub area are being used constantly it does get messy in there. We vaccum and clean each morning, and then cleaned later in the afternoon again. thank you for staying with us and have a great day.

Where is the hot water?

Pros: Very very nice staff, pleasant and they went out of their way to help us.
Cons: Better/faster hot water to the rooms
Very friendly staff, I'd go back because of them! I know it was -20C outside, but the hot water took a long long time to come. The other cold thing was the heater/AC unit was continuously blowing directly on the bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep, but is was -20C outside so understandable. The Parking lot could have been cleared better.

I am very sorry for the issues you had in regards to the hot water in your rooms. We have indentified the issue with one of our hot water tanks and had it replaced. Sorry about the air blowing on you while trying to sleep, next time you are here just mention which room you were in before and we will find you one with a better set-up. And yes our parking lot has been loaded with snow and we having been working on it. It is in much better condition now, hopefully the snow stays away long enough for it to stay clean. Rooms are small and poorly configured. Carpets need to be replaced. "Fabreeze" is over powering.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff

Location: Close to parkland, hiking trails, and convenient to stores in Bancroft.
Very helpful staff , our room was very clean and comfortable.
