It was nice, homey and very comfortable. We had a deluxe room with large bathroom with a deep tub for soaking after a nice bourbon at the Sleeping Buffalo lounge. Little balcony and fireplace were highlights of a great stay. Kudos to the staff who were all friendly and knowledgeable. Only downside was it was a pricey stay. Peak season hits the wallet hard.

Geest hospitality

We came in early and our room was already available The room looked good, it had a fireplace and a large bathroom. It is a short drive to Banff and we highly recommend this place.

The first day, found the sheets dirty, dirt, take the sheets down, put on the ground, second days did not give new sheets, two days sleep without sheets, feeling clean cleaning very careless.

Rustic Inn

Rooms are clean, but dated. No mini-fridge in the room. Overpriced for what you are actually getting in terms of traveler comfort.

Great mountain hotel. A short walk to town.

This is a great place to stay and in Banff. A short walk to the town center. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The fireplace in rooms makes for a cozy mountain stay.

Cozy lodge, friendly staff

This is a wonderful hotel that probably would have been fantastic in the winter. Only downside was the parking and hotel layout, very difficult for vehicle parking due to lack of painted lines & patrons being ignorant to others & taking up multiple would be spaces

Beautiful View

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Pros: Quiet location with a beautiful view.
Cons: It would be nice to have a refrigerator in the room, as most hotels have one. The rug was very dirty and should be replaced or cleaned.
Location: It was close to the Hoodoos walking trails and a 5 minute drive to downtown.
The room had character and the view from our the second floor was beautiful. The rug in the room was quite dirty looking. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working properly and it was quite the hike to get to the amenities from our room..

50th birthday weekend

Loved this hotel. Very close to town but felt like you were in the woods. The in room fireplace was awesome. All you had to do was light the match. They had it all ready for us every night.
