Good location and value
We stayed in a two bedroom condo which was clean with everything you needed for a family once we got in to the property. The check in process is to visit another holiday complex near the condo's. Unfortunately we booked with expedia and they did not make this clear so we had to call back to the UK to get details. They did supply a local number but there was just an answer service on this number. We even visited a local business who were very helpful and called the number but could never get an answer. The property once you did get in was great. Clean and very well equipped with secure parking. Again lack of info let the company down. When you went to use the hot tub on the top floor you had to use a stairwell which you did not get a key to so were then locked in the stairwell ! A resident let us out and explained you have to go to the basement where the parking is and then take the elevator to your level, not the best system if you have just got out a hot tub ! After we left the we realised we had left something behind and called the number given by reception but again only got the answer service and they never returned any calls. Would stay again now we know the process as the room was great but the service lets it down.

The room was wonderfu(3 bedrooms- condo), but had no A/C. Website made no mention of this when it was booked. This particular room got very warm at night, thus hard to sleep.

This is NOT a hotel
Even though Canmore Crossing is a beautiful property and in a prime location in Canmore, it is a short stay vacation rental and NOT a hotel. There is no front front desk, any hotel personnel, or even a luggage cart. The apartment was nice, but the temperature can not be turned down and the apartment was hot overall and there are notes on some of the windows stating, do not open due to wind gusts.

Great, cozy place for large family!
We loved the condo we stayed in at Canmore Crossing. It was large enough for a family of 4 with 2 Japanese exchange students. Location was awesome as we were right across from Safeway to buy food to cook in the well stocked kitchen. When you are traveling with a large family it is important for us to be able to cook as restaurant bills are so high. Comfy living area was wonderful to relax in and we had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, plus a pullout couch. Short drive to Banff meant lots of easy sightseeing! Loved that everything was keyless and we could come and go on our own. Kids loved the hot tub. Wonderful stay for excellent price!

Great central location
For our family stay with four adults and two children the unit offered everything we needed. However, the unit is beginning to look a bit dated, and needs a refresher.

Not impressed with the service. No wifi, no house keeping, and didn't like having to check in at Lodges of Canmore. For $500 it was not worth it. There was 1 day supply of coffee even though we were there 2 nights and it was a charge for more. The rooms were not very clean. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this place. I did not feel as though I got my money's worth from this place at all. If it had cost me $200 maybe but not for $500.

Good family condo
Great location in the middle of Canmore. Have to check in at a different hotel, which is a bit awkward. Comfortable, and well-appointed. Only criticism is that we weren't provided with enough towels, there wasn't any extra toilet paper, and they didn't provide dish soap, etc (as provided). But, they were prompt at bringing all the missing items when requested. Overall good stay!

Very disappointed. When we arrived we found out that we were moved to Fire Lodge Mountain. So that meant that some of us were sharing bed. That was why I had booked the Canmore Crossing so each one of us could have our own bed. Towels were missing for some of us as well as pillow case. Not enough blanket and to top it all when we got to the unit it was 46 degrees Farenheit! My 70 years old mother took about 4 hours to warm up and as the heating system was not working I had to call maintenance who came and fixed it. Just very disappointing as I wanted this to be a perfect stay for my family who came all the way from France.

Not as what it seems
Spent 2 nights there with 3 couples. Went to check in and was told all the units were pet free even though it says on the website I can have up to 5 pets in the room. So I had to wait forever to check in, the staff had to notify the manager and kept talking about deep cleaning fees. And I had already paid for the room up front. After about 20 minutes I finally asked if we are getting the room or not. The woman handed me a sheet and left. I had to ask someone else for directions on how to get to the condo and it was a free for all trying to figure out the codes for the elevator, room and garage, and also figuring out which parking stalls were ours. It would have taken the reception 2 minutes to explain this all.

Great location, lots of room, fabulous view frm deck
We actually stayed at the Lodges at Canmore, as there were 9 of us, we needed 3 units, but the Crossing couldn't put all of us in same bldg. Location was great, only about a km from downtown (lots of free parking), and 15-min walk to large outdoor shopping area -Safeway, Cdn Tire, Mark's, Scotiabank, many other stores. Layout of the condo was pretty good. About 6 steps down from entry to main area ( livingroom, full kitchen, bathroom, queen bdrm), then a short flight of stairs up to the loft bdrm (queen bed) and another bathroom. This was actually an enclosed area, just no door, but private, as you can't see anything but the landing when you look up from the entry. All units had in-suite washer and dryer. Very convenient. We had 3 units, 2 across the hall from each other, and one just down the hall. They all had TV in bdrm and livingroom, fireplaces, a/c,balconies with amazing views, BBQ's and a table with 2 chairs. The kitchens were fairly well stocked, but as we used one of the condos for all our meals (it had a much bigger kitchen and livingroom than my unit), what one didn't have, we got from the others. We arrived at 7 PM Monday , one of the condos had NO TOWELS AT ALLl. We called numerous times, kept getting promises, but it was late the next afternoon before we got a few towels, not nearly enough for three women, and extra blankets for the sofabed. They said the resort didn't do laundry on Mondays, but nobody mentioned that in any of our phone call.

Nice place near Banff
The condo was perfect for my family of six. Great space for everyone. Having Safeway and Starbucks across the parking lot was an added bonus. Check-in process was a bit confusing as the office is located at a different facility. Be sure to call ahead and get clear direction on the check-in process. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall, it was a good value and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for large group
Nice location for access to Banff and Lake Louise with quieter surroundings. Great size condo for 7 adults plus baby! Very well stocked for meal preparation and appreciated the barbq for cooking. Good access to grocery stores. A bit of an issue to find location for key pickup. Not what was indicated on letter of confirmation. Otherwise a wonderful spot!

Great place with a unconventional loft.
Great place for a ski vacation. Central location. Grocery, ski rentals, and other shops close by. No wifi for the particular unit we were in. Had a old TV, could use a newer model. Amazing 5-7 person rooftop hot tub. First thing you see in the loft area when reaching the top of the stairs is the toilet. No walls between the toilet and bed in the loft. But there is a folding wall that can be put up. Did not bother our group, we just made a rule "no #2 upstairs". Also, there is a washroom with a shower stall in the gym down the hall.

Worst I've stayed at in Canmore
This hotel is in a great location and the suite (3-bedroom, 2-bathroom) was spacious. The housekeeping, however, was awful and included such lovely surprises as blood on the bedsheets (which did not appear to be washed) and mold in the coffee maker. The suite furnishing, etc. also appears to be totally dependent on owner preference. Of the three (tiny) TVs in the suite, two had integrated VHS machines (for those of you who are too young to know what those are, they were the precursors of DVD players). The one DVD player did not work. Pot lids were mismatched, dishes were chipped, etc. Hotel staff were off-site and took just under 24 hours to respond to our request for more supplies. I was embarrassed to have booked this place for our group and would not stay here again.

Great Place to stay close to the Rockies!
This is the 2nd time we stayed @ Canmore Crossing and we really enjoyed our stay. It is a very relaxing place seeing the mountains from our windows. It is also a bonus that we can buy our groceries from nearby stores and very close to downtown for more shopping. We are looking forward already for our next visit. Thank you for accomodating our family.

fantastic
Wonderful apartment, just a few minutes walk into the village. We are a couple and my mum - all of whom were very pleased with the accommodation. Lots of space, excellent temperature control, great kitchen facilities and brilliant views set in a quiet but safe feeling area I strongly recommend you contact them in Canmore directly before departing for your trip. This is because you need a code to use the lift or stairs to the apartment and a further code for the apartment itself. They also want forms signing before they will provide the codes. We don't have a scanner, and so could not print the forms, sign them, scan them in and then email back to the company, this meant us having to first go to Canmore lodges to sort this out (about 10 -15 mins walk from Canmore crossing apartments) In all this was the best accommodation I have ever used and this is saying a lot because we are seasoned travelers - book it now but just be aware of the need to contact them prier to arrival (the phone number was provided on our confirmation when we booked with Expedia)

Nice place and very spacious. It was a little strange not to have a front desk to check in or check out. There were also a few things broken in the room like the window in the master bedroom did not work so we could not close it properly. But overall we had a wonderful time and would book this place agin.

Very Nice!
This 2 bedroom loft condo was very nice. Beautiful view of the Rockies right from the front window while you drink your morning coffee. There was lots of room for our family of 5. The condo seemed very homey and not like a hotel room. The only thing we didn't like was the hot tub was not working while we were there, but we didn't have much time for that anyway's. I would definitely stay there again.

Not for us
The pictures online lead us to believe that the hotel would accommodate 6 adults-not 3 couples. Also, the loft was just one room with a bed, bath tub, sink, and toilet (no walls for the bathroom) - we could see the t.p. roll standing in the living/dining room below. I am not certain what 6 adults would want to share this sort of space. We moved to something more appropriate for our group. The carpet also needs a shampoo.

Noisy and difficult to locate
there is no front desk which makes getting into the room a lot of work, you had tofax numerious papers to get the codes you need to get into th room. there is also a seperate code for the elevator that u need to punch in everytime u use it. plus the door on the second stairway doesnt open so if there is a fire you cant actually leave that way (guess your useing the window!) we never found the parking spot in the parkade and had to park in the store parking lot. the train came by every hour and shook the whole room. there was a window that had no way of closing in the room and the other bedroom had no way to turn off the heat. the bed was sooooooo old it smelled and was extreamly bumpy, the best part tho.....there is a toilet at the topof the stairs..u can take a poop and still see all your guests!!!(no door)

Canmore Crossing - Close to Town Centre
Canmore Crossing essentially offers condominium units on a basis of single nights or more. This property does not have a front desk for check-in so be prepared for the hassle of having a 6 page document faxed or e-mailed to you for signature. This includes supplying a credit card for $500 security deposit, agreeing to indemnify Bellstar Hotels & Resorts, and more. This must be faxed back before they supply you with the access codes for the parking garage, elevator and room. Our situation was complicated by the fact that we were not contacted until the Friday evening prior to the Monday we left on our trip. For whatever reason, e-mails never came through. The paperwork ultimately had to be faxed to another hotel we planned to check into so we could sign it and fax it back. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium was nice, spacious and included a kitchen with range & full size refrigerator. It was also furnished with a large screen TV and gas grill on the patio. This unit does not have air conditioning and it was quite hot when we arrived. By opening all the windows it finally cooled down to a tolerable level by the time we turned in for the evening. It is very secure, requiring a security code to enter the parking garage, go up the elevator, go down the elevator, enter the room. This was a good value, just understand the logistics of completing the process of acquiring the codes and getting into the room.

The location of this condo/hotel was very good. Secure underground parking was a plus. On arrival, my friend was doing a bed bug check and we were very disappointed to find the linen on the downstairs bed had not been changed. Within 15 minutes of a call to maintenance, someone arrived with fresh bed linen and made up the bed. This experience left us wondering what else had been overlooked. Apart from the wall clock battery needing changing and the patio door lock needing attention, the rest of the condo was in good condition. we could not get wireless internet in our unit and this was quite inconvenient. If this is a necessity, make sure you ask about that when booking as some units do have wireless connection. I would recommend this condo to others wanting something within walking distance of town centre.

Canmore Crossing - a home away from home
We stayed two nights, and found the condo very comfortable and suited to our needs. Close to two grocery stores and Starbucks, the highway and also an easy walk into town. Our BBQ was out of propane but a quick phone call and the tank was replaced within the hour. Big downside was the difficulty in finding the building and garage entrance - buildings need bigger and better signage!

Overall very satisfied; good location, clean and comfortable, and reasonable price. One inconvenient thing - we were not informed that check-in should be done at a different location until we arrived at Canmorre; we had to drive more than 5 minutes to find the check-in office.

Great View, Great Suite
Our Unit had one of the best views of the mountains in Canmore. The two bedroom suite was very spacious, well equipped and very clean. Lots of kitchen gear, appliances, towels, linens and games, movies, etc. to keep all busy. Handy location, close to shopping and to main street canmore. BIg screen in the unit would have made this condo apt perfect, however we made due with the 20" oldfashioned TV. Thoroughly enjoyed this unit, deck and location - would recommend to anyone.

Canmore Crossings is very nice if you are looking for a rental property, it is not in any way a hotel though. It was nice to have a kitchen, but to have to clean everything and do all the dishes before we left was not what I was looking for on my vacation

Not Impressed
Hot tub was out of order entire visit. No blinds on main window which gave extreme lack of privacy. Ceiling light did not work in smaller bedroom. No air conditioning (which is stated) but it was extremely hot, with only one floor fan provided when there were two bedrooms. One handset for phone did not work and the toaster needed replacing. Also ran out of bbq propane in the middle of cooking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, within walking distance of all major attractions. The room size was great, it would make a perfect home base for any family stopping over in the Canmore area. The only negative comment I have is that we weren't sent the confirmation papers, room access codes, etc, until the day of our stay. It was lucky I checked my email, or we could have been stranded!
