Good hotel

Nice big rooms. Big beds. 2 televisions. The microwave, fridge and sink was handy. Big gym with lots of equipment. Pool was good and a good size hot tub facing the mountains.

Elevator not working, room way too hot, train track right beside hotel and the trains run all through the night.

Hi, It is posted on all the websites that the elevator is done to be replaced for 4 weeks. We are in the start phase of doing reno's to the hotel.

Easy to walk into the town & nice mountain views.

Cons: Replacement of room tea/coffee without having to ask. Beds not made. We were not told that the sauna was not working. TV in the bedroom not working.
Location: Easy to walk to town for shopping, eating and drinking. Only 30 mins drive to Banff and 60 mins to Lake Louise.
Booking the room was last minute, so it was reasonably priced. Beds were comfortable and nice view of the mountains to wake up to. Hot tub ok with mountain views.

Thank you for your comments. I wish you would have put down a room number so we could have checked out the problems but the staff will look and fix them. We do appreciate you staying with us.

Room was not clean

Found used condom wrappers, with dirty socks and a shot glass. By the wall on the floor by the bed. Also a lot of areas where not dusted in a while. Very gross and not nice to see or touch

Hi, We do appreciate your feedback. I am sorry that you had that problem. The housekeeping staff has been told to make sure that they check and the 2 supervisors when they do the room inspection should not have missed that.

Night Auditor lady was exceptional

Pros: Rooms are good size.
Cons: Housekeeping missing a few checks. One of our group found old socks and garbage underneath the bed. I too found garbage under my bed when I checked.
Location: Good location...walking distance to Rec Centre.
Have stayed there for the past few years. This time we brought our sports team with over 25 people in seven rooms. The lady night auditor ensured all our needs were cater to ...exceptional service !!!

Hi, Thank you for your comments. I had a word this morning with our two house keeping supervisors. This is not suppose to happen. I am very sorry we do try to make sure that this rooms are up to our guests Standards. I again apologise that they where not.

Nice big rooms. Love the little bonus area Hot tubs jets were really weak.

Hi Yes there are several hotels in Canmore along the tracks. Next time ask for a room on the opposite side that seems to help. Sorry I am not sure what you meant by missed a cleaning.

Large rooms, comfortable

Enjoyed the large room and hot tub/pool staying open until 10pm. Many hockey kids there the weekend I stayed, very loud, running up and down halls, taking over common areas like pool and lounge areas. Rooms were clean but when we arrived at 4pm for our checkin they said our room wasn't ready and won't be for at least another 30 minutes. We were tired after a long and cold ski day, and when I asked for compensation or discount due to room not being ready, they said because we booked on Expedia, we won't get any discount or compensation which we weren't pleased about.

With all third party websites it is hard for us to give any refunds direct from the hotel. We try to be able to check our guests in at 4 pm but sometimes especially this time of the year it is difficult. Sorry for any inconvenience

Not impressed AT ALL!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

We recently stayed at this hotel. List of problems include: -elevators are extremely slow (waited 10+mins for elevator, it still didn't come) -layout is extremely confusing (after waiting for the elevator that never came, we searched for the stairs. Which we couldn't find, because on level 2 you have to go through the pool to find them, to get to the pool you have to go through the change rooms, which requires a key card entry WHICH DOESNT WORK!!!) - wifi doesn't work - train goes by the hotel REGULARLY ALL NIGHT LONG! - they gave our room to other people while we were sleeping in it at 1:00am! That's right PEOPLE CAME IN OUR ROOM AT 1am

Where the elevator is on the second floor there is a set of stairs right there. I am very sorry about the 1 Am surprise. I will find out why that happened.

The hotel is right on the train tracks and the staff was not helpful. The rooms are very dark and depressing.
