Nothing was unique it was too messy place with bugs and insects on the floor. My 3 year old daughter did not step on the floor and called it a scary place. The cabin number 41 which we stayed in did not match any Canadian hotel standards. All windows with different curtains, spider webs all around and dirty sofa with a big hole in it. Bathroom was a big mess no space and different hot and cold-water control that did not work well. Electric plugs in hazardous condition for kids. My 7 year daughter called it a haunted house. Please give me Email id so I can forward some of the pictures for reviewing. I strongly recommend Expedia to list out Rundle cabins from their list.

Definitely Rustic
Cabins are very run down. Could use some updating. Floors were grimy, had to keep our shoes on. Have to wash your own dishes or pay $25.00. No dishcloths in our room??? I know this is supposed to be a rustic experience, but the price doesn’t reflect that.

The room is terrible dirty, and smell awful, some rotten smell, when I found out the room is no good, I cannot find any one to assist me?? I arrived late, I had no option to stay one night, then I run away in the next morning, even, I paid for 2 nights stays, I didn't stay at the same room for second nights, don't know can I get refund for not staying the room? It's a terrible experiences I never had in my whole life, I'll never recommend anyone to stay at this Rundle Cabins,

I have always loved Rundle Cabins..this trip.a nightmare. Office was dusty dirty. Staff downright rude. Being greeted by someone with breasts showing out of their kimono who was so unfriendly. As I entered my cabin a curtain from the door was on floor. I fell. Hard. 6 weeks post op. Barely made it home. One day drive took 3 due to.pain. didn't get my damage deposit back. They wouldn't refund room. Bathroom was dirty musty with.mold smell. Surface clean.but not clean. Rafters had layers of dust visible. A favourite spot for decades no more.

The condition of the cabin was not at all clean, fridge was a disgrace, there were ants crawling all over the kitchen and bath room, bedding was not clean. We did not stay as it was in such poor condition we were offered another cabin which we looked at but still ants everywhere and not clean we then had search and book elsewhere, reception advised that it would be Expedia that would refund my $100 please advise. Thank you Joy Holt.

Last minute booking
It was a last minute booking. The cabin is old but that was the best for a last minute booking in the Canmore/Banff area during the Victoria day long weekend. I'm happy that we had a place to stay.

They need to do thorough cleanings of the cabins. The amount of dust and dirt under the bed and table was unacceptable. It is clear whoever is cleaning is being lazy with their job. There was not enough cooking utensils and the pans are in terrible condition. Salt and pepper were empty. The front staff was eating and in a robe both times I was in there checking in/out. Very unprofessional. I do not agree with paying on arrival. Charging $30/night for a pet fee is ridiculous. Dogs are cleaner than the beds in the cabin. We brought our own pillows and blanket. Good thing because their was a drier spot of blood visible on the blanket. Whoever made the bed definitely saw this while making the bed. I’m disappointed and was somehow still charged $230 for two nights. When I told the front desk girl about the above issues she just said “okay, okay, okay” and grabbed the keys from my hand and went back into the back room. There should be regulations in place for accommodation sites like this. I will not stay here again and I will not refer my friends and family either.

The place needs tidying up, floor needs sweeping and faucet leaking. Lighting in bathroom does not provide lighting in shower room either lower down the curtain rod or change the shower curtain to see through.

This place should be shut down. It’s filthy rotten and the staff are so unprofessional. An outhouse is cleaner then these cabins. Never ever again will I stay at Rundle Cabins. It wouldn’t be fit to even put animals in there.

The place was very dirty, with empty bottles under the bed and lots of dust everywhere. The receptionist had a piece of tissue paper when attending us. DISGUSTING!!! I do not recommend, not even for my enemies. Never go back there.

Cable and wifi were nice, and the staff is very friendly, but the cabin was not. Extremely small, infested with spiders, cobwebs everywhere, the sheets had cigarette burns in them with 2 very small.pillows on the bed, and most dishes had to be washed before use as there was bugs in them. Staff was very accommodating but i will not be coming back.

I didn’t like the barking dog that scared my children. Tv didn’t work. Place wasn’t clean and staffs communication in English was poor.

The cabins are located in a scenic location, the cabin they gave us was filthy and disgusting, we found a crusty old towel behind the couch Cushion, the bedding was gross and we were literally scared we may get bed bugs! The floors hadn’t been cleaned the dishes were dirty! By far the filthiest place we had ever stayed! They did give us another cabin the second day and it was marginally better! We talked with another couple staying in a cabin a couple doors down and their cabin was infested with ants. I would seriously think twice before staying here, the pictures make it look pretty nice and when you get there it’s much more run down.

This is the last time we will stay here. It keeps going further down hill. Really needs maintenance and updating. Also there were ants, which is inpressive give it is the canadian rockies in March. My husband and I are really not that picky, but we agreed never again.
