Short stay, but we'll be back!

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Pros: Level of cleanliness, heated pool/hot tub, large rooms with decks and a barbecue, easy check-in/check-out.
Location: We found the property location fitting. It was close to hiking trails and just a short drive to the downtown area.
My wife and I recently spent one night at the Stoneridge Mountain Resort and we're extremely impressed/satisfied with the overall experience. The spacious king suite we selected had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay in comfort and came with a mountain view (which was very much appreciated, as was the complementary bottle of champagne). Thanks to the staff for a very enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Hi Kevin, We are very pleased that you had such an enjoyable experience at our resort! Especially given that the location was convenient to the activities that you happened to enjoy! Our hotel was designed to be your home away from home (PLUS MORE), and we are happy that you got the chance to experience that! Your feedback means the world to us! Thank you for submitting it, and we hope that you will return to us soon! In Hospitality, Anthony

Had to pay an upgrade fee just to get a room that didn't face a parking lot/other rooms. When we did get our room we had to call down to ask for the playpen we had requested. A chair was broken, trim was coming off, and we found broken glass on the floor on 2 separate occasions. Only other complaint is the very noisy heating system that would wake you every time it turned on as it sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling. Needs some updating, but staff was very friendly and pool facilities were very well kept!

Dear Guest, Thank you for submitting feedback as it pertained to your most recent stay with us! Your opinion means the world to us as without it, we would not be able to evaluate and improve our brand. It is very unfortunate that you had such a negative experience, as we are normally accustomed to positive reviews, so we will be examining each issue that you have mentioned very carefully to avoid a repetition of these mistakes. We required an upgrade fee because all the suites in the category that you booked, which did not face the parking lot (as you requested), were occupied. Thus to accommodate your request, there was a bigger suite which did not face the parking lot which was available. As a 100 room hotel, we do try to accommodate the requests of our guests as much as we can, but are unable to guarantee all the requests because everything is given based upon availability. Especially given the fact that we do not own any of the suites. However, the other issues you experienced in the suite were grossly unacceptable, and have been subsequently reported to our management team. If I may ask, did you report these various issues to front desk? We would have gone to heaven and back to ensure that you were comfortable for the rest of your stay. We would have placed notes in your profile to ensure that on your next visit to the hotel, these issues would never occur again. As you noted, our staff is very friendly, so if you had not submitted any complaints to us (while you were here), please do so next time. We would be more than happy to correct your negative experiences with a more positive and spectacular one so please give us this opportunity by returning again to us soon! Thank you for your invaluable feedback. In Hospitality, Anthony

Great hotel near Banff National Park

Posted Mar 22, 2017
Pros: Newer, clean, modern, nicely appointed kitchen with decent appliances and cookware (non stick) as opposed to older stuff in Banff.
Cons: Bed was too soft. Ended up with a sore back most mornings. If you like a soft bed, then great.
We (family of three) used this hotel as a base for skiing Sunshine ski resort (Banff) and Lake Louise ski resort. Nice town- not as touristy or busy as Banff. You will need a car rental though if you plan to ski from here as the tri area shuttles do not run from here. Nice Napoleon BBQ on each unit's balcony was a plus. Nice outdoor hot tub and heated pool. Oh yeah - robes to wear to the outdoor pool. Staff very friendly and service prompt. When we called down for an extra blanket it was delivered to the room almost immediately. Indoor parking which meant we could leave our ski gear in the car and it would be warm the next morning. As well did not have to clean snow off the car in the morning.

Hi Mel, Thank you for submitting such a thorough review about your most recent visit at our hotel! We are pleased that you were satisfied with the accommodations for the most part: the cleanliness of our hotel, the modern amenities and furniture, the gourmet equipped kitchen as opposed to what you have experienced in Banff. All of our units were designed to be your home away from home, so we are very happy that you appreciated what was offered. Its unfortunate that the bed was too soft for you. We perhaps could have moved you to a different room. Did you communicate this to our staff? There is an "Enterprise Rent-A-Car" office located just a block away from us, so you have very easy access to renting a vehicle at affordable prices. However, you also have the option of boarding the Roam Bus Transit to Banff from Canmore. There is a bus shelter literally 2 blocks away from us. We hope to see you here again Mel! Thank you so much for the comment!

Time away.

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Pros: Great bed.
Location: Enjoyed the Tavern, and the Iron Goat restaurants. Trip to Lake Louise was great and enjoyed a sleigh ride.
We had a very enjoyable time at Stoneridge. Bed was very comfortable. Hot tub and pool were great. Watched some movies on dvd player. Quiet rooms, barely heard any other guests.

Great location, beautiful hotel

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Close to all amenities. Room was very spacious. Friendly staff. Complimentary underground parking was very handy. Cafe attached to hotel was closed unfortunately and they don't have a restaurant in the building which forced us to venture out (which was ok too). Overall stay was very pleasant

Hey Gabrielle, I am very pleased to read that you found your accommodations to be satisfactory and appreciated the heated underground parking. All of our staff are trained to be attentive and helpful to every single guest that visits the hotel, so I am very happy to see that you were impressed with the friendliness of our staff. The cafe's closure was beyond our control as we are not the proprietors of the cafe. However, there are multiple eating venues to visit within a 5 minute radius of the hotel, and I am happy to read that this did not hamper your stay significantly. Perhaps one day the cafe will be reopened under new leadership. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us Gabrielle, and we sincerely hope that you will return to the hotel soon. Good value - no restaurant.

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Banff has got so expensive for beat up, worn out hotels. We try a new place each trip now, Stone ridge is head and shoulders above on value. We stayed in the 900sq ft suite for $230. One of the best values we've found so far.....just no room service for those lazy weekend breakfasts. Amenities are in good condition....not the typical beat up shape your find in this high traffic tourist town. Couch is not comfortable, no ppl movie channels, staff is not really trained to handle you with class, they push you like you need the rules lorded over you. If the room is just where you sleep, this is one of the highest quality options we found for the best price. If you want to lock yourself in a great room for the weekend.....still need to pay up for the Rimrock.

Hey Mike, Thank you for submitting feedback as it pertained to your stay. You have been very thorough in your analysis. 1) Although we do not have room service, there are several breakfast venues close to the hotel - within 5 minutes distance from the hotel. On your next visit to us, our front desk can give you more details. 2) We do have movie channels which are shown on our flat screen HD tvs that is available in all of our suites. When you press channel 2, you will have access to a detailed programme guide to assist you. 3) As it pertains to your interactions with staff, did you ever communicate this grievance to a manager? Our managers are very approachable and willing to assist you with any problems, no matter how small they may seem. On your next visit here, please do not hesitate to do so. Your opinions are very important to us and will help us improve our brand significantly. Thank you for giving us a 4 out of 5, and we are happy that you were satisfied with the amenities and the accommodations of your suite. Please return to us soon! In Hospitality, Anthony

Cons: Parking garage could use restriping. Very hard to see lines to park between.
We were very pleased with out hotel stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean, view was spectacular. What little interaction we had with the staff was pleasant. Heated underground parking was appreciated

Beautiful hotel that has everything you need. Rooms are so clean and organized! Friendly helpful staff that makes sure you're comfortable and happy. Just had 1 bad experience of noise above us. We both have kids but children above us were out of control. Woken up at 7 am and constant running and banging. We were moved to another room which was better but adults were awake and moving chairs and walking around till till 2 am. We love this hotel....just the top floor next time!

Dear Guest, We are very pleased that you found your accommodations to be clean and organized, and that you found our staff to be very helpful. We deeply regret that you had issues with noise throughout your stay, and was not able to relax or enjoy your time in the hotel. We greatly implore our guests to communicate their discomfort, concerns, or issues, to the front desk as quickly as possible as we would move heaven and earth to ensure that our guests are comfortable. We do have a strict noise policy in the hotel, and are very prompt in enforcing them. we also could have moved you to a suite on the highest level of the hotel if one was available. We want you to cherish your experience with us! Thank you for submitting feedback as this is how we improve our brand! We hope to see you here soon! In Hospitality, Anthony
