Rooms were ok, pair of socks left in dresser and black mold on tub tiles were disappointing!

Olde English style Inn.Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location gave us access to all aspects of Canmore.
Cons: The Inn has been well used for some time now. It could use a bit of renewal.
Location: Gave us access to the shopping area, restaurants and surrounding areas of interest.
We felt comfortable and at home. The pub in the Inn has a terrific atmosphere with reasonable choice of food.

Authentiek hotelPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Eigen sfeer
Cons: Internetverbinding niet efficient
Location: Canmore is toeristische plaats, prachtige omgeving. Wandeltrails. Het ligt iets buiten centrum.
Authentiek hotel, prettige mensen. Canmore is toeristische plaats, prachtige omgeving.

Great PlacePosted Jun 29, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed two nights for our Honeymoon on June 24 - 26, 2015. The room was great - clean, comfortables, jacuzzi and fireplace. The bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows. We received a little pack of chocolates from the Front Desk for it being our honeymoon. The only thing that made this a 4 for us, was the fact that the climate control could use an update - it's very old fashioned and didn't work that great - it was difficult to sleep when it was that hot. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this Inn to others.

Two days at the Georgetown Inn w/ the DogPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Perfect for travelling w/ dogs. Outstanding staff. Good location.
Cons: There were no garbage cans for guest use. Wireless access keys could have been issued per room as opposed to per device.
Location: To rear of Hotel, dog walking area 3 minute walk. To front of Hotel, downtown Camore 10 minute walk.
We booked a room on the ground floor next to a door such that we could get out with the dog easily for bathroom breaks. Our dog loved the area as it was heavy with the scent of animals. The dining was fairly good, portions large, and management went to the bother of hiring staff w/ English accents therein which helped keep the atmosphere consistent to the theme. Proximity to Canmore shopping was good; a mere 10 minute walk. Trains pass through town regularly but one soon tunes it out. Canmore is less touristy than Banff, offers the same beautiful mountain views, good hiking and would be favoured for those wishing to avoid the tourist crowd. Temperature regulation in the room was a little below average and there was no table large enough for laptop use as the theme of the room was the objective; fair enough. The stand-out feature of our experience was the was the friendly staff. We have NEVER been better cared for. Bravo to the management. Look in the back of the restaurant menu for which movies have been filmed in the hotel including "Dr Strangelove" and "The Edge".

Lovely friendly hotel, good breakfast in the restaurant, cute room that would be cosy in the winter. Good range of other restaurants in walking distance.
