What a wonderful surprise ! Clean, comfortable, quiet with a fantastic location/ The staff was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was above what I experienced at some of the other hotels I stayed in around Bangkok/ Great value for money. Thank you Khun issaraporn and staff for a prefect stay !

The hotel has seen better days. Pictures do not show reality. We were give an acceptable room after refusing the first two shown. Whole property needs a thorough cleaning. Staff were good. We had to ask for cleaning the room, coffee, towels etc, even though we left the "room make up" request sign on the door, and they promptly provided. Breakfast offered is basic, but you can ask for something different if available. Some nights the lights outside the room were turned off leaving the hallway in total darkness. Good restaurants etc a 15 minute walk at least, and so were the Metro and BTS stations. 7-11 on the ground floor was very convenient. Only two areas where you can cross Sathorn rd, one just north of the hotel and a bridge about 3 blocks south.

Strange experience, the owner claimed they did not receive the payment from Hotels.com. At the end the owner was nice and offered free breakfast. Apparently, she let us go claiming she checked with Hotels.com and they confirmed I did not pay - yet I had a proof the money was deducted from my account. Weird!

in dire need of a refurbishment
It served its purpose. Somewhere to sleep, bathe and relieve myself. My room looked nothing pictures on the website etc. It was a tired rundown version plus 10 years. If I had a race horse and it looking like what my room did (well the equivalent) I would shoot it in the face and move on. Other than that the staff were pleasant and my whole experience of Bangkok was a positive one.

The room and facilities are clean, location safe and accessible to transportations, easy to locate by taxi, very close to all shopping/businesses/ transportations/ restaurants.

Overall it was only a okay okay hotel, as there’s ants on top of the toilet bowl area, breakfast was okay, we had some problems where the hotel charge us more than what we booked. The tour desk woman’s attitude is terrible where it is located next to the lobby. We think that the tours were very expensive after listening to her explanation and she kept on bothering us even after we walked out she came out and ask us to consider again, and the next day also. The receptionist upgraded us to executive as we booked two superior. There is only one elevator at the right hand side and it’s small so ask for a room near to the elevator if possible.

Perfect stay
The Embassy Sathorn was a fantastic place to stay. I stayed here for around a week and it was in a fantastic location, only a 10 minute walk to the nearest MRT station. There is a shop located just outside the hotel which is very convenient. It is also a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Lumphini Park which is not to be missed! I will definitely be staying here again upon my return to Thailand

Great service, but needs wifi in rooms
Very basic accomodations with excellent service. All the staff are very friendly and work very hard. Front desk staff helped with a package delivery. Breakfast was nice buffet with a variety of choices. Only negative is that WIFI is free but only available in the lobby. Very good accommodations for the price.

Hotel is very old and not well- maintenant but LOCATION is good and it equipped with convenient stores, shops and etc shop on their rental grounds. Limited on parking slots. Cleanliness is an issue from poor building maintenant.

Decent hotel for reasonable price
For the money it was great. Reasonably clean rooms and clean area. Breakfast was decent. Only down side is that it looks creepy and scary at night.

Rude reception staff. But other then that the free breakfast is a bonus and the location was perfect. The hotel is old but for the price well worth the stay and has what I wanted kettle, air conditioning and fridge.

Close to transportation needed.
Upon checked in to executive room, TV spoiled and the the technician has to repair the TV all over the floor due to no other room available. Wasted time waiting for it yo be done. Second day morning, air conditioning was leaking and have to waiting till 2pm after then can change another room. This hotel is run down. They should do some upgrading.

Centric,clean, efficent service.
It's located in the heart of Bangkok right where the skyscrapers are, with excellent service and a seven eleven right a few meters away from the lobby.

Embassy Sathorn would have been a great hotel: 1) If there was WiFi. (Although WiFi is included in their amenities, WiFi was almost nonexistent while I was there. I couldn’t even get WiFi by going to the lobby.) 2) If the air conditioner was quiet. (The air conditioner rattled so loudly that I slept poorly the first night. I turned it off, but was very hot. I asked to move the next night, but was given a room so far away.) 3) If the staff were competent. (My friends came to visit me, but each on separate occasions were told I wasn’t listed as being a guest.) 4) If the oiletry amenities ere more. (Only a bottle of shampoo and body wash were offered.) 5) If the hotel was located further from the main road. (One could hear traffic and cars passing at all times and in the middle of the night at all times of the night.) 6) If the hotel was near the BTS (Sky train). The hotel was a 15-minute walk to the MRT (metro).

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone very dirty not cleaned correctly had to ask for towels and tea coffee because they forgot to leave them don't think they spent more than five minutes in the room cleaning it and that included changing the bed covers. We had a balcony with our room that was never cleaned in all the time we was there it was thick with dirt you could tell the rooms have not been cleaned because when you had a shower and came out into the room and walked round your feet was black again The bed must've been infested with bedbugs my wife has come out with all bite marks all over her face ears arms and some on her legs I also have bite marks on my legs. The only thing I can say is that we had a problem with the air-conditioning on two occasions and it was repaired straight away but apart from that this hotel I would not recommend The other thing is they are demolishing the building next to the hotel we should've have been told of this prior to checking in the noise from the work we could hear in our room But they have put a notice at reception apologising but we still should have been told

Budget hotel, reasonable price but old facilities
The hotel staff kindly upgraded me to a superior room with windows. There’s no view to outside with window anyway because it’s blocked by another adjacent building. I would be disappointed if I paid for this room with windows myself. But as I was upgraded for free, it’s ok. Anyway, the location is fantastic situated at the main road with subway in walking distance. Plus the hotel staff are nice.

We had no electricity for few hours
We arrived back to hotel past 10pm after a full day of sightseeing. When we got out of taxi, we saw a number of people at the parking lot and the lobby was very dark. We were told there is no electricity. It would have been fine on regular days but we were exhausted. We wanted to bathe, lie down on our beds and just sleep with aircon. We were actually looking forward to that. Then this lady was going around talking to guests and saying it can happen to any hotel. Yes, that's true. But maybe other hotels have back up generators. Electricity was back maybe past 12mn. I guess we really did get what we paid for. Hotel is very cheap and comes with breakfast.

No hot water for me, even after several maintenance attempts. Water drains about 20 mins or longer after cold shower and seems to have a constant drip. Mildew smell and mold everywhere in bathroom, seriously, black mold. Definitely a flip flop wearing shower. No face/hand towels. No hand soap. My door without the second lock. Don’t get the room cleaned - they only flip the sheets so where your feet were, are now where your head is. More importantly, they will leave your room door open along with many others for quiet some time. All your valuables are open to all, including mosquitoes. My friend wanted a new pillow because it smelled terrible and they charged her 50 Bhat. If you want a second key they wanted a 300 Bhat deposit.
