They had very professional staff who knew their jobs well. The gym facilities were very good, with both dry and wet saunas.

The hotel definitely needs a refurbishment. Can tell it's an old hotel but nevertheless should have some refurbishment done. The room was clean but one night when the room was cleaned, the bedsheets were not changed. I had an issue where the toilet and sink were blocked, and after I reported it to reception, they were very quick to resolve the issue. At the back of the hotel where the outside dining and bars are, it is very nice by the river.

This hotel is really nice. The day staff was wonderful. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are very nice and we had a room with a great view of the river. However, we had dinner one night outside, and the service was terrible. It was probably the worst service we ever experienced at any hotel, regardless of the rating.

Spent 6 nights just recently at the Montien Riverside Hotel. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our deluxe river view room was spacious and had a great view of the river. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was flawless. The services, the facilities, the breakfast, the cleanliness. The only snag was the gym. Please open it from 6am for the early risers. Thank you.

The Montien Riverside is an older hotel but well maintained. It has a lot of charm and ambience compared to the newer more expensive sterile hotels. The price per night is very economical for a 5-Star hotel. If you like Asian food, you will love the Breakfast Buffet and the Chinese Restaurant. The hotel is conveniently located within a few minutes’ walk to Terminal 21 Mall where you can find hi-end stores, delicious restaurants, and many shopping options. The absolute best feature of the Montien Riverside is the staff! My wife and I stayed at the Executive level on the 24th floor from Dec. 27. 2023 to Jan. 3. 2024, and we highly recommend booking one of the rooms on this floor with a river view. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. We want to give a special shout out to the wonderful staff that made our stay even more enjoyable. Ms. Sunisa, Ms. Nuttanun, Ms. Patcharaporn, Mr. Roong-Aroon, Mr. Charoen, Mr. Tanaphon, Mr. Withayakorn, Mr. Tanakorn. My favourite hotel of my stay in Thailand. Nicely located on the banks of the river. A mall just a close walking distance away. Beautifully designed lobby and large swimming pool.

The hotel is dated , needs a refurbishment, it’s clean, but smells old , restaurant staff terrible , bad service , no good English speakers , food comes out at all different times , if at all , charge you a service charge , when there is no good service . It’s lovely on the river , but just old and smelly , clean as said , but not modern at all . Over priced for condition of hotel .

I like the Montien
The Montien is like a grand old cruise liner on the banks of the Chao Praya river, with wonderful riverviews, chalm, 5 star service. Very Good food. Cafe style, and fine dinning. Grand rooms. Great health club and pool. The Montien is opperating at a 4 star level , discounted as some post Covid polish is required to claim back 5 star. Great experience. Great Value. True Bangkok heritage.

Staff was friendly and helpful at check in (not so much at check out, they are very mean). The hotel is nice but the rooms are a little beaten (wood varnish gone in different places, one night light didn't work, sandals didn't look clean-recycled-). So a 4 star overall is a very fair rating. You need a taxi to reach anything.

My room at the Montien Riverside gave me an exceptional view of the Chao Phraya river! The view was particularly magical at night. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! 😀 As a bonus the hotel is very close to Asiatique so getting to the evening river dinner cruise launch point is very easy to do. I highly recommend going on a Chao Phraya Princess cruise as the staff and food were both excellent! 👍

Nice hotel
This is a great hotel and we where upgrade to the 24th Floor with the business Center. The staff here are amazing . Nothing was to much trouble at all . They took care of everything we needed. Thank you to the 3 ladies and 1 guy . Service was exceptional. Sadly the restraints in the hotel are a let down. The attention to detail and service needs improvement . The down stairs Gril brought my husbands meal and when he had eaten his then my meal came . Food was good. Do apology. next mail main restaurant they got the food wrong 2 times my meal again arrived why before my husbands. In a 5 star hotel they are missing the service here. Use the free shuttle to travel about BUT it only drops off and does not pick up ?a opertunity there .

Stayed at hotel several times and although a convenient location, near a Shopping Mall and close to my supplier, the hotel is somewhat dated and in need of room renovation. WiFi connection is poor in the room and UK websites blocked. The signal regularly drops out making the stay a frustrating experience. The breakfast, I would say is average but not inspiring. Will likely consider other hotel on next visit. The staff are friendly and rooms clean and a good size and lobby of the hotel is lovely and spacious. Outside grill area is relaxing and enjoyable in evening and the food selection is good from the grill.

We were enjoyed our stay at Montien Riverside Hotel. It has a beautiful view of Chao Praya River. We love an atmosphere, nice, quiet, unique and classic style. We ate at the hotel almost every meals because in the hotel has a couples restaurants including delicious food.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Good location next to 7eleven, bus stop at the front, only less than 5 minutes walk to Terminal 21 shopping mall. The restaurant food is fantastic with beautitul river view.Love it!!!
