This is a good value for the money but be aware that this is an older property. It was obviously a very high end property in its heyday and they employ a ton of people who were all very courteous and hospitable. Things we didn’t like: The safe didn’t work, the coffee maker leaked, there were a few stains on the sheets and the shower was just plain old. What we liked: fairly close to Grand Palace, Temple Mount, Chinatown, and canal transportation. It was far however from a metro station. We also enjoyed the pool (very low key) and drinks were available in the lobby. So if you are particular about accommodations, this place is probably closer to budget accommodations with air conditioning (which we don’t mind). We appreciated the savings so we could spend more on dining and entertainment. It won’t be for you if you’re more of a Typa A traveler. PS there isn’t any dining close by but there are great options close to the city hall administration building and we found an amazing leather store nearby called Seng Chong. We got a pair of sandals, two wallets and a belt - all handcrafted on-site!
