Saluk House Bangkok
Great hotel right above the night life. Room is small in an older building but it is close to everything. If you plan to sleep this is the wrong place until after 3AM but for convience if great.

Great location.
Hotel was in the perfect location. Right next to restaurants and night market and walkable distance to grand palace. Rooms are a little small but comfortable.

Good, clean hotel, close to Khao San Road.
This is a very clean, well maintained guesthouse, that is very close to Khao San Road, if you're looking to stay near a lively, nightlife oriented part of Bangkok. The street life outside the guesthouse makes for very noisy evenings, late into the night, so probably best to bring earplugs for a good night's sleep. The staff here are very pleasant & helpful.I enjoyed my stay here very much.

I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed my stay here. It was a great location, right near Khoa San Road and has a great smoothie stand at the end of the alley. There is a lot of good cheap food around. The 3 of us ate a meal for 150 baht which is $5 for 3 people. Crazy! There was a security guard stationed at the door 24/7 so it felt very safe. TOURS: The one thing you should know is that most tours don't pick up here as the road is too narrow so if they say they will, you have to make sure to keep an eye out for a large group of people walking together because that is most likely your tour group walking to the van meeting point (we were looking for a van for our tour to Ayutthaya, but it turns out the tour guide just forgot to get up as she was leading a group of 40 people to the van- very disorganized and chaotic.

stay was fine, room was a bit noisy at night, but if you are wanting to stay near Kohsarn road then you should expect that. Bed was not so great but ok. Water pressure on shower sucked. The biggest issue I had was with there restaurant. The manager and staff have some serous issues and are rude and pushy. We sat down at a table and my two travel mates when upstairs to drop of some goods they bought. the waiter came over and demanded I ordered. I told him I would wait for my friends and he demanded I ordered now or moved. I told him I was a hotel guest and showed him the room key and he would not stop. Finally I had to order for my friends as he would not let me sit in the chair the 5 minutes it took my friends to come back. We ended up sitting there and drinking all night and my one friend was very drunk and I sent my gf to take him up to his room, we were sitting with some guys from the uk and somehow a glass was broken. The waiter demanded I pay for it right away. I explained my money was with my gf and I would happily pay the 40baht when she got back down. He would not let it go and kept on me, finally I had to tell him off and walk away and he chased me into the hotel yelling. I went and got money form my gf and came down and paid him. It was pretty harsh treatment considering we sat and drank and at all night and spent several thousand baht.. and were guests in there hotel. you would think they would let a broken glass slide and/or I would have earned some good. To bad!

Great and kind people, I wish to book again.
We stayed for a week. My son needed a medical attention during our stay. hotel owner called ambulance and all the staff cared for him when we were waiting for it. They stayed with us, brought anything might comfort him. We really appreciate their help. that's what we need when you are away from home. After that we felt even more comfortable at the hotel. Thank you very much for your great hospitality. I wish to return again and again.

Overall, the hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Location great for Khao San Road, perfect for backpackers, and the noise was minimal. Only downsides were, the bed was hard, which is fine if that's what you like, and there was little to no hot water when showering or washing.

Nice, clean little room just a block away from Khaosan Rd. Tons of action all in this are. Would definitely recommend for the price. Room is basic but the bed is good; slight smell in the bathroom, but you can't expect perfection for this price.

1.Restaurant, Bar and Massage is everywhere once you stepped out of the hotel. 2.Close to Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho. Taxi cost around 50THB instead of tuk tuk offer 100THB.

Peaceful hotel in busy area.
Medium sized hotel on busy street. Clean,but a little tired. No restaurant, but plenty of choice outside hotel. Good for people who like plenty of plenty of nightlife, but our room, at back was quiet at night. Helpful receptionist printed off our flight documents,and arranged taxi for us.

Great spot near Khao San Road. It gets pretty loud at night, but that is to be expected in this neighborhood. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel has a decent kitchen inside as well. Great place to sit and watch people walk by at night. Walking distance to all the government buildings and museums is a plus. If you are looking to stay in the tourist area for a decent price, this is your spot.

It's amazing hotel this is my 2nd stay my first one was in 2012, I love this hotel coz its in busy Street called Rumbuttri close from all the temples and the stuff are helpful and the rooms are clean

Too Noisy for Comfort
Stayed three nights in an bag packers paradise. Very busy, bustling environment which went on to the early hours. Unfortunately so did the noise. If you want to sleep at night then this is not the place for you. The walls are only one brick thick and the disco below echoes throughout the night. Everything else is fine and bearable especially for the all what is available in the are for tourists. Please remember that everyone in Bangkok seems to be out to make a 'buck'.

Clean rooms in great location.
There's nothing fancy about the hotel but the rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and can't beat the location. The hotel is located right in the heart of the khao san area. Literally, just steps away from great food, decent shopping, spas, and live music. Some street noise could get in the room at night, but hey, can't have both, be dead smack in the middle of the action and not hear any noise.

This is our first stay in Sakul house and we will definitely use it again. One street over from koh san road, far enough away from the noise. Plenty of options for good food and shopping also Dave and Nan next door in buddha view dive are fantastic to deal with for all travel requirements.

Perfect place for a crazy bangkok experience
If you want to stay close to Khaosan road but want a slightly nicer area, stay here. It's still a bit loud, but the location is great, right in the middle of the fun. It's a great room for the price, a pretty comfy bed, nice amenities, etc. there's a restaurant and bar right downstairs that has live music every night. Loved it!

We booked this hotel to be close to the Lomprayah Bus company office for the bus/ferry trip to the island of Koh Tao. Turns out the hotel is just steps away from the Lomprayah office. This is very convenient, however, this is also a very noisy location. There was loud music playing until 4 in the morning! We even had a room away from the street but little sleep was had. We suppose it would be okay for the young backpacker who wants 24 hour access to bars and restaurants. The small room and facilities were very modest. If we were to do it again, we would stay in a quieter location and take a taxi to the Lomprayah office early in the morning. Just make sure the taxi driver knows the location of the office.

An oasis in the middle of traveller mayhem
Very comfortable, clean, modern hotel sandwiched between two high energy tourist streets. Thought night time noise may have been an issue, but rooms are quiet. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great location, hotel is fine for the price
The location of this hotel is perfect. It is located right around the corner from Khao San Road and is bustling with nightlife. It is a great spot in the day time too. There are countless restaurants, bars, street food/drink stands and masseuses. About a 15 minute walk to the Grand Palace and reclining Buddha. Important tip: The Grand Palace is open everyday. There will be tuk tuk drivers telling you it is closed and will offer you a ride to another palace, instead they take you to a store to buy stuff. Ignore them it is a scam! The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The safe is old and does not work well though.
