just so so, bad location, not close to MRT or BTS. Breakfast does not have a lot of variety.

Clean and pleasant hotel

Staying at the Somerset Suanplu was rather pleasant, the staff are helpful and nice while the rooms are clean. All in all I would return for another visit. A possible areas for improvement could perhaps be the introduction of more furniture in the room. The living room was rather large however there was only one sofa available. The king sized bed only had one bed side table thus I had to place items on the floor. The room's air-conditioners were also very dusty, which resulted in them being noisy and not cold, how this was resolved by a call to the front desk.

A Great Experience

Pros: Courteous hotel staffs, well maintained rooms, nearby eating places. Short distance from major shopping malls.
Cons: More prominent signboard of the hotel for the guest and taxi drivers to spot.
Location: Great places to dine along the street and they are within walking distance. There are a couple of road side stalls offering delicious local cuisines.
We booked this hotel because it was in the proximity of the Malaysian Embassy where we were here to complete some immigration paperwork. We stayed at both 1-room and 2-room apartment due to multiple bookings. The hotel staffs were very helpful in helping us to move from 1 apartment to the next, they were extremely courteous and efficient. All our needs were attended immediately. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable. The only setback was the fact that it was quite hard to find, the signs were not prominent and we got passed it. We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Bangkok.

Fantastic experience

Pros: The room was great and the staff were very friendly and eager to please

Location: Location was central and near one of the big shopping centres
I booked a two bedroom apartment at Somerset and was really happy with the apartment and the location of the hotel. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. We booked tours through the hotel which were the floating markets and Ayutthaya.

Nice hotel

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms
Over all a decent stay - I was on the 16th floor and had a nice view. The only problem was it took a while for the maintenance staff to fix my lack of hot water.

Missed the mark this visit

Stayed here 3 years ago and it was a great experience so I thought I would go back again. Staff not very friendly whole hotel vibe not friendly think they were too preoccupied with upcoming celebrations. We felt like we were intruding at times.

Beware the hidden costs

No free hotel transfers, airport transfer via taxi, tok tok only works during the week, service charges per day on top of what you were already quoted as the total price. Half the hotel has been renovated, yet we were put on the floor that hadn't, when the hotel wasn't full...and yes we paid for a superior room with kitchen dinning etc...which brings me to the bathroom, every time we had a shower the bathroom floor got flooded. when advised the front desk about the room...nothing got done. The address of the hotel was too confusing for local drivers and some called the street/area different names...

The property does not advertise or offer free airport transfers however we do offer limousine transfers at a cost or the alternative is a taxi. Out tuk tuk service operates 7 days per week from 830am to 6pm daily. If our tuk tuk is broken, our van operates in its place. At the moment we have only completed some one bedroom premier rooms in the current refurbishment and all public areas are nearly completed. All our rooms have kitchen and dining facilities. The issue with some water trickling over the bath tub onto the bathroom floor is a design fault in some older rooms that is being addressed in the current refurbishment. Our property has been in existence for 16 years and is very well known to Taxi Company, however, many taxi drivers cannot read or speak English in Thailand. Finally, I note that you claim to have paid more than the contracted price quoted by Expedia. Please do write to the property supplying a copy of your invoice from Somerset and a copy of your Expedia paperwork so we can investigate your claim. Should there be any discrepancy, we are happy to refund the difference to you. Once again, thank you for staying with us. We look forward to welcoming you again, giving us another opportunity to serve you better.

My First stay

Location: easy access to sky train, restaurants, Lumpini park
My First stay overnight on 4th May I was put into a room that had not been cleaned from existing traveller Other than that I am pleased with my month at the hotel

Resort Stay

Pros: We love everything of this hotel including staff with smile and delicious breakfast on the ground floor.
Cons: Maintenance.
Location: For the health-oriented guest, Lumpini Park is the nice place for walking and runnning.
Quiet yet convenient to access to the shopping and entertainment area in Bangkok. My family relaxed and enjoyed staying at this hotel. This is a comfortable space in the urban resort. I am sure we will be here next time when my family come to the Angel City, Bangkok.

Close to excellent restaurants and shopping.

Pros: As already mentioned the breakfast was included as well as a limited amount of internet service. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Cons: The rooms were clean and comfortable but could be repainted.
Location: Close to good restaurants and shopping.
Our accommodation was less than $80.00 per night for serviced accommodation which included a full buffet breakfast which would appeal to all needs. Our journey to Bangkok included a 15hr flight from Toronto to Hong Kong and then a 3hr flight to Bangkok which put us at the airport at approx. midnight. While there is taxi service available at the airport for the 1hr trip from the airport we chose to arrange with the hotel for a private car company to pick us up at the cost of BHT 1300 or approx. $50.00 cdn.
