Excellent hotel. Lovely rooms. Great facilities.

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Pros: Facilities. Great staff. Clean and well presented rooms.
Cons: Air-conditioners don't have portable remotes in all rooms. But other than that pretty much perfect.
Location: The location is great with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. There is a lot of nightlife nearby but the noise doesn't reach the rooms at all.
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for almost a week. The whole experience was positive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice, well furnished, and cleaned well daily. The pool and gym facilities were well maintained and the breakfast was good. We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel and would return again if we come back to Bangkok.

Nice hotel, good location, relaxing rooftop

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Pros: Rooftop pool and bar, friendly staff, good location.
Cons: Shower head could be replaced with something more modern.
Location: In Silom area close to MRT and Skytrain stations. Lumphini Park close by.
Stayed here for three nights on a solo trip around Asia, and was pleased with my choice. The hotel is in a good location close to both the metro and the Skytrain, so getting around is easy. There's quite a lot of restaurants around the hotel, as well as street food vendors here and a short walk away at Sam Yan MRT station. The hotel is nice enough, with a cafe on the ground floor, and lobby and breakfast facilities on the first floor. On the top floor is a relaxing pool and bar area, which is a nice place to cool off after a day sightseeing. Breakfast was OK, with a fairly limited choice of western and Asian dishes from the buffet and a made-to-order egg station. The room was fine, decorated with lots of dark woods and fabrics, with a decent bed, a/c, desk, wardrobe and safe. Bathroom was fine. A nice little place with friendly staff in a good location, made excellent by the hidden oasis on the roof.

Hotel with lots of character

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Lovely hotel - very peaceful inside with a traditional Thai feel. Bar and pool on roof were very nice. Bathroom a bit dated but lots of space in bedroom and very helpful staff especially door men in helping you get cheap taxis anywhere.

Quiet and convenient Thai style hotel

Posted Jan 26, 2017
Pros: Great location yet quiet room with wonderfully comfortable bed and full blackout curtains making it perfect for the sleep in after big night out
Cons: The entrance is dreary and off-putting with a not unusual miss-mash of business hiding it from the street. Wifi was variable speed and stability
Location: At top end of Surawongse Rd it's a 10min walk from the BTS and MRT and less to Silom. Restaurants, bars, the high life and lowlife are all at hand....
Well situated the hotel was a calm quiet respite from the throng of Bangkok. Staff were helpful, the pool area surprisingly welcoming and the room (suite) was clean, large, and well equipped.

Three star hotel pretending to have four.

Posted Jan 19, 2017
Pros: Breakfast and check-out.
Cons: Complete refurbishment or downgrade to a three star rating.
Location: Location is ok but that depends on which part of Bangkok you intend to visit and what sights you intend to see.
The hotel is old and tired and not to the standard expected of a four star rating. The entrance is quite well hidden and no on-site parking although that is mentioned if you look hard enough at the hotel details under the link. We were upgraded to a deluxe room but didn't impress me at all. Noisy old aircon in the room and tea and coffee was minimal with no milk or cream. Breakfast was adequate and to a standard expected of a three star rated hotel. Probably a good choice for a backpacker who likes a bit of comfort.

Near night market and shopping and food.

We enjoyed the 10mins from pir hotel to Sala Dang BTS. At different time we noticed different activities and crowd. The hotel is safe from the hustle and bustle on the street and the room is properly maintained. Beautiful layout in the room. Breakfast was tasty.

Floor would be softer

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: Grat rooftop pool and patio
Cons: Mattress quality, air conditioning needs yo be fixed, pillows are lumpy
Location: Close to the metro
The pros: gorgeous rooftop pool with lush plants create a jungle feel in the midst of yhe business district. That's the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. The staff were friendly enough, but spoke limited English, which made asking about transportation to the airport and estimated travel time difficult. Even worse, the would-be cozy wooden room had a noisy air conditioner that rattled off and on throughout the night. As I had only bookd one night and planned to take a sleeping pill I didn't ask to switchnrooms. Since it was the air vent itself rattling, I'm not sure this would have made a difference. The loud 2-3 minute whirring/rattling would come on and then stop just as suddenly. It did this multiple times through the night. I put a chair under the vent to hit it, which was lss than ideal, but did act as a temporary fix! The beds themselves are incredibly firm, the sheets are scratchy, and the pillows are lumpy. I would not recommend staying here.
