Amazing Location, Unique Hotel

Posted Feb 10, 2017 on Hotels
Could not ask for a better location. The hotel is right in the heart of Bangor and is very close to a bunch of restaurants and bars. I enjoyed the older, quaint vibe that the hotel had. While the hotel in general could use some investments in it and the rooms felt a little dated, it was an overall amazing stay. The staff was very helpful. The night manager, Kristin, gave fantastic recommendations on places to go out to in Bangor which made the stay that much better. She made check in very easy and made me feel welcomed. I will be staying here again.

Best location in downtown Bangor. Friendly staff.

Posted Jan 29, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Room amenities: hair dryer, iron.
Location: Orono Brewing Company, Blaze, Nocturnem, Paddy Murphy's, Eleven Central, Bagel Central, Verve.
Best price and location for a stay in downtown Bangor. Equal walking distance from all bars and restaurants downtown. The building is somewhat old and run-down on the inside, but very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during checkin.

Historic hotel, wish we had a better stay

Posted Dec 28, 2016 on Hotels
Nice historic hotel. Too bad the radiator was too hot and could not be turned off. We changed rooms only to find the TV did not work. It could not be fixed that night and we had already changed rooms once. The employee at the desk was helpful, but she could not get anything fixed. We called to just talk to the owner/manager and was told she is too busy to call us. Too bad, all we wanted was to be heard, no money back was requested by us. She was not interested in our experience.

I am sorry you had an unsatisfactory experience, I hope you will give us another chance in the future after our conversation we had on the phone and through email. We care very much about our guests and do anything possible to make them happy. :)

Location

Pros: Convenience of walking to downtown/price (off season especially)
Cons: If you like old, weathered furnishings, nothing
Location: Within feet of shops, restaurants, pubs, art museum, etc.
Stayed two nights to explore a bit of downtown Bangor to see all the new businesses.

Convenience.

Posted Dec 11, 2016
Pros: The location
Cons: Having some place to hang clothes. I was glad that I brought my own hair drier, since one was not provided.
Location: It is near several good restaurants, some interesting shops, a children's museum and a theatre.
The hotel is convenient to downtown Bangor, and is within walking distance to the Penobscot Theatre. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Parking was a little inconvenient in that we had to use the parking garage a little distance from the hotel. The staff was very accommodating.

The hotel is Located in a good area , around a lot of restaurants , the hotel is comfortable but unfortunately I need to say they need to do a little bit better with the cleaning but beside that we really enjoyed staying there .. I definitely will stay there again.
