“Large, comfortable, clean and quiet room No creaking of floors or stairs. Tasty and well prepared breakfast. Fruit salad and really.tasty yoghurts great way to start the days followed by a tasty vege cooked breakfast. Welcoming and friendly host”

“Average at best. As I booked through another platform, I was relegated to the handicap accessible room next to the entrance, and the overall room was dated and required a lot of upkeep.”

“The location was great very central and the room freshly decorated clean and and large bathroom was new and facilities good. Breakfast included was good and freshly cooked but finished at 9am could have done with another half an hour.”

“Very large, clean and comfortable room. Staff were outgoing and attentive to any of our needs. I was hoping for a more authentic castle experience, but furnishings were basic and a bit worn out. The restaurant service was slow due to under-staffing, but the staff were all friendly and engaging and the food was good. Overall, a comfortable stay, but don't expect much of an experience.”

“Had a very comfortable stay at Smiddy Haugh. Very clean and comfortable room with nice toiletries in bathroom. Owners were very welcoming and made us aware of all relevant information, I.e. heating, dining, check out, car parking. We had a delicious breakfast and would certainly recommend and visit again.”
