Never again make a reservation from Hotels.com

We did the reservation through Hotels.com. They sent to us the classic comfirmation e-mail. "Your reservation is done, that's your hotel, have a nice stay, rent a car, blah blah blah". We arrived at the hotel and they informed us that there WASN'T ANY RESERVATION in our name and that we were the fifth couple with the same problem. They told us that they tried to solve the problem with the Hotels.com but, as the manager said, THEY DIDN'T CARE. We have nothing bad to say for the people at the Marin hotel. They were very helpful and they gave us a room for one night and helped us to find another hotel for the next days. They, also, gave us a discount for that one night. For the only night that we stayed i have to say that it was a nice, comfortable, clean hotel. The only bad thing was the poor breakfast. But the next hotel we stayed had the same poor breakfast. Maybe it's the way they serve breakfast in that village i don't know.
