Nice AccommodationsPosted Oct 30, 2015
We were traveling through the area and only stayed one night. Would have loved to have stayed several days here, but just didn't have the time to do so.

Close to Acadia & bar harbor without the hustle bustle. Quaint little town. Keurig, microwave, mini fridge, sink, dishes, silverware in kitchen area. Nice bathroom with lots of towels. Bed extremely comfortable. Was very pleased!

A pretty good place to stayPosted Oct 20, 2015
Pros: Bed, large towels, microwave, keurig and fridge. Nice idea of the book for people to write in what they had done in area.
Cons: Staff availability
You have to check in at the bakery and can only do it during the hours they are open. Not too much of a an issue because we did make it there in time. We stayed just after fall hours started so the bakery and restaurant weren't open until 11am to 8pm and we weren't going to hang around or come back just to eat at either one. The suite was good looking. There was a microwave, Keurig with Kcups provided, cream in a refrigerator. The fridge wasn't very cold and we had to pull it out to be able to open the freezer to use that instead. The tv in the bedroom got a good number of channels but not most that are available at other places. The one in the tv had even less. The bathroom was nice with very big luxurious towels. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrible. One was too flat, two was too big. The problem we had was with the heat. There was instruction in the room on how to adjust the temperature but no matter how hard I tried it remained at 76 degrees all night. And since there is nobody there after 8pm we had to open the windows all night to keep the temperature comfortable. We did like the book that other people wrote in with things they had done and places they had eaten in the area. It made us more disappointed that the restaurant and bakery were only open with limited hours because they got rave reviews. We would definitely eat at the restaurant and get something at the bakery on a return trip but would try for a place that had staff available 24/7.

Comfort and StylePosted Oct 14, 2015
Pros: Decor, location, size and bed quality.
Cons: The only thing I would add would be a water boiler as my husband and I are both tea drinkers, but we did make do with the room's microwave.
Location: Lots of lovely little shops and a boat excursion.
The location, style and amenities were exemplary. The hotel restaurant provides wonderful food, which is also available for takeout and the room came with all the dining equipment we needed. We couldn't be happier with our stay.

unusual locationPosted Oct 9, 2015
Pros: The room was very clean, looked pretty new. Nice, big fridge. Could have used another table in the seating area to put things on. NIce bathroom.
Cons: INTERNET Connection needs improved! It went out in the evening. Big problem for us! Trying to look at things and plan next day's events & excursions!
Location: Acadia Nat'l Park- lots to do there! And one entrance was under 10mins. from us. Also went to Bar Harbor, very easy to get to. Beautiful area.
I knew, from other reviews, that the location of this hotel was 'different'. So I realized that going in. For someone who didn't know/wasn't aware, this could be a possible problem. There are STAIRS for this hotel, and no elevator. And the stairs are a little awkward, in my opinion. And there are two sets of stairs, giving the feeling that you are almost on a 'third' floor. So all of our luggage had to be carried up those two flights of steps. And it is a gravel parking lot, not very well defined (but close to the rooms....) So rolling luggage thru the p.lot is not doable either. I think this set up is not for the older, frail, or otherwise handicapped. Or for anyone who doesn't want to carry their things up 2 flights of stairs. Once you get up there, its nice enough. But it is not like a regular hotel, nor is it like a bed & breakfast. It has more of an apartment hallway feel to it. Very clean, and quiet. Just 'different'. Again, I knew in advance that it would not be like a regular hotel, due to my reading other reviews. It worked for us, however, it wasn't my favorite place if I had to pick one. And it was very odd to not have anyone to contact after 8pm when the bakery downstairs closes. No one. No emergency ph#, nothing. Kind of unusual,,,,,,,,, Gave you a feeling of being on your own. (which we were when there was no one to contact about the internet, which we needed to be working!!!)

Wonderful lodging in a scenic spotPosted Sep 27, 2015
Cons: Lack of dinner spots in Northeast harbor
Location: Beautiful location. Cute stores. Nice walks.
It was a real find and would definitely use again. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfasts were unbelievable-especially the blueberry pancakes. Best of all, away from Bar Hard and it's crowds and Tshirt shops. The bakery downstairs had the best donuts and carrot cake I ever had. Stayed 3 nights. Visited Acadia and did sea kayaking.

Very nice package in NE HarborPosted Sep 19, 2015
Very comfortable suite with an associated restaurant and bakery on the first floor. An attractive outside deck area for lunch and dinner. The seafood meals were quite good and the staff friendly and helpful. The bakery was excellent and the homemade donuts a treat. The only negative I saw was the need to carry all the luggage up two flights of stairs.

Lovely facility - fabulous breakfast included.Posted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: Everything - location, cleanliness, wonderful breakfast.
Location: Loved everything about Acadia Park.
Hotel was clean, and nicely furnished. Bakery was wonderful --- but the breakfast that was included with stay was absolutely outstanding. We would definitely stay again if ever in area and will recommend to friends. Thank you.

Nice stayPosted Sep 7, 2015
We came to the hotel late in the night and it was a little struggle to find the hotel and the hotel parking lot partly because of the bad cellular coverage in the area. Getting into the room, we were very pleasantly surprised! The room and all interior were in great and clean condition. And the breakfast was great too! Very happy with the stay. Jack

Utilitarian clean suite 15 min drive to Bar HarborPosted Aug 28, 2015 on Hotels
This property is just 5 Jr. Suites located up over a bakery. It is comfortable, very functional, quiet and very clean but it has zero character and is a good 15 minute drive over to Bar Harbour. It is a suite so light housekeeping is possible and there is a laundry set on the floor with the rooms. The morning breakfast in the downstairs restaurant is excellent and is included. The wireless is so weak it does not work either in the rooms or the restaurant and staff could not help. Our door was so sticky my wife could not open it. Parking is on the street or around back in an open area.Prices in the Bar Harbor area are crazy so you might want to select this property as it is very competitively priced. Personally I would not stay here again but would pay a bit more and get something closer to Bar Harbour and something that did not resemble a college dorm suite - very functional but not very interesting.
