The location and views were spectacular. I was there for a wedding in the area so I did not have time to check out all the amenities. The only problem I had was there was only 4 charging stations for EV. and the hotel did not have a system to have guest move their car once charged I had to go find another charging station as I had a 5 hour drive home!

Beautiful hotel. Check in was easy, location is amazing. The pool and hot tub were clean. The restaurant was clean and we had the best wings! The only complaint we had was the AC was stuck on. We couldn't turn the heat on, we couldn't turn the AC off. They had someone come look at it, couldn't fix it and said they'd have someone else come up. They didn't. They did supply us with an extra blanket. It was cool and damp outside so we certainly didn't need the AC. The next day we asked again, they said they'd send someone up and they didn't but provided us with another blanket. Luckily we are used to Maine weather and packed appropriately so we could dress appropriately. Would have been perfect in the summetime!

We loved the water front view from our room. The only thing was the bathroom is dated and tub area wasn't cleaned...hairs. The room had a passage door and we heard every moan and grown the hormone excited couple was making!

The hotel itself was fine and communication was good. The restaurant/bar situation was terrible. We sat for half an hour and couldn’t get a snack or even a drink.

I like the location and free laundry service. I do not like the room we stayed. The carpet looks old and smelly. The room looks like it's used for pets.

The air conditioning did not work. The room with the view was great and it was clean but because the air didn't work well it smelled a little and was a little too warm for our comfort. The staff was great and friendly. This place was great and we would come back but it would be even better if you did some remodeling in the rooms.

Location on the harbor was nice. Easy to get to. Near Old Port area but cruise ship was in port so the area was awash in people. Parking by valet at $35 was a bummer but did not seek less expensive parking as we were only there two nights ( one without a car). Shuttle to airport was available but they were not happy about shuttle for me to drop off my rental car the last night we stayed there. Manager stepped in and made it work. Nice place and would stay there again.

Great view but TIRED rooms
The view can’t be beat. The grounds are well manicured. Location is great if you are going to Acadia, but not as much if you are going into Bar Harbor. The rooms really need updating and the front desk staff is unfriendly and unhelpful.

This turned out to be a great stay, the dining options at the hotel were great. You are only about a mile from the harbor. Temp control in the room was a little outdated making it difficult to find the ideal temp. Our room had a dehumidifier in it and a wall unit with a manual thermostat.

Know before you go
When you first enter the hotel, it appears to be nice. Once you leave the lobby, it’s a different story. The hotel needs a dehumidifier for the entire building. The furniture is worn. Our bathroom had broken tile that jetted out by the Valve. I am surprised that one of my children didn’t get hurt, When we mentioned our dissatisfaction with the room and the potential liability they had with the broken tile, the front office manager didn’t seem to care.

“Resort” is not a resort.
Paid extra for ocean view with balcony. Windows were damaged and fogged; reduced the view. No elevator in my wing; lugged luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Bar tender at restaurant LOST my credit card!! Had to cancel it. Major hassle.

This hotel was awful. We’ve stayed here twice and the first time it was so-so but after our August trip we will never be back. The hotel itself is dated. The service is awful. No housekeeping and no notification this was the case. We booked and paid for an “ocean front and ocean view” room and the accompanying photo was our view. The air conditioning units were not only unsightly but also loud! No one at the hotel or hotels.com would assist us in anyway after multiple phone calls.
