Quiet and close to main trails!
This little house is perfect for a getaway to Acadia. We stayed in late October. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor, this is it. Surprisingly, it’s not a long drive from town, but it’s so quiet. We did two long full day hikes directly from the house. No need to drive! Check all trails for a trail leading directly from town to the quarry trail to Gorham Peak or the Ocean Trail. We found the short cut only on our way back. Super convenient for home cooked meals, laundry (nice!), fires in the pit, and tv for tired nights. Definitely consider this house for quiet, convenience, and comfort.

An MDI Gem!
Perfectly located with easy access to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. A cute, quaint, comfortable and clean place to return to after days of hiking, biking and exploring the area. We will be back!

Otter Creek Cottage
Our 3 week stay in Otter Creek Cottage was truly amazing. A home away from home. The house is cozy and comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Yet, very close to everything on Mt Desert Island. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. A short hiking trail at the end of the street leads you Otter Cove and Acadia National Park. We would definitely love to come and spend some more time at this home.

Charming Cottage
The Otter Cliff Cottage was charming, neatly kept and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The yard was private, well-maintained and a nice spot to enjoy lunches and dinners in. What we loved most is that it was just a short drive to everything, Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor, Acadia National Park Carriage Roads, and the shoreline. The property manager was easy to work with and provided quick responses to all our inquiries.

MDI cottage with all we needed
We found the cottage true to its photos and description. The location is between Seal and Bar Harbor, which worked well for us. The fire pit and gas grill weee both nice perks we enjoyed. Owner is responsive and check in/ out as well as recommendations before our trip were great. The little store at the end of the street was also so lovely and we visited multiple times.

Perfect for small family
House was perfect! Clean and tidy. Newly updated and simply decorated. Perfect so we didn’t have to worry about mixing up our things with the homeowners. Supplied a number or little special touches that really made us very comfortable for the week we were there.

Great place to stay on Mount Desert Island
We had a wonderful time at Otter Cliff Cottage. It's a nice quiet neighborhood only 15 minutes from Bar Harbor, even closer to Seal Harbor. The cottage was well kept and equipped. Amanda, the hostess, is very accommodating, and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Our only regret was not staying two weeks instead of one. I would recommend this property and plan to book it again if we make it back to Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park.

Great week in Otter Creek
Very cute and very clean cottage! We loved the location in Otter Creek. It is a quiet street that ends in Acadia National Park- we hiked from the cottage and also took the Island Explorer bus into Bar Harbor. Amanda was a great host- she communicated well throughout the entire process and was only a quick text away if we needed anything (we didn’t need anything though- everything was great!). Highly recommend

Perfect!
We stayed at the Otter Cliff Cottage for almost 2 weeks. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Amanda was very welcoming and very responsive. The location is just perfect. The cottage is on a quiet street, yet just a few steps away is a little market that sells clam chowder, lobster and sandwiches which was ideal after a long day and just wanting to eat-in. I work remotely and the internet worked very well. The cottage is also just 4 miles from Bar Harbor in one direction and in the other, access to the many carriage roads inside and outside of Acadia National Park, as well as the other trails. We really felt like we were at home, and would recommend this cottage to anyone who is interested in visiting Maine. This has been one of our best vacations in the United States as we love the national parks and being in the woods. Thanks Amanda for being the most wonderful host. I really enjoyed chatting with you as you live such an interesting life. Meeting Amanda was part of our experience in Maine.
