Accessibility to the main street, accessibility to Arcadia Park, the market, walking paths around this place, quiet and peaceful, and all the staff at this place were people who truly enjoyed their work. If I go to Arcadia again, I will definitely stay there.

The Primrose was very cozy and very nice place to stay. We enjoyed the Jayson's breakfast and Brandon was very nice too. I would like to go back in the summer.

We really emitted the common room as we were staying in a separate room from our friends. Breakfast was divine! Walker was the best host!

What I liked was it had a young vibe. No fussy decorating, guests can enjoy privacy and the breakfast was a delight. Staff/owners young, friendly and accommodating.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. This was the first Bed & Breakfast I ever stayed at and it really was lovely. The only bad thing was there was this annoying tapping. I’m not sure if it was the pipes or what it was. Other than that the inn was very charming and I would definitely stay there again.

We spent 2 nights at the Primrose at the end of October and wished it could have been 2 weeks! Our room was spotless and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. Th breakfasts were amazing, and the small touches like Halloween candy and cookies with tea in the afternoon added to the overall welcoming environment of the Inn. We would highly recommend it, and thank the staff for their gracious hospitality.

Staff was great. Breakfast was very good. Our problem was our room. Got the impression through the web site our room would have been much nicer for what we paid. King size bed was comfortable but took up the whole room. Literally had to walk sideways to get around the room. There was another room that had a window air conditioner in it and a small trundle like bed in it with a hole in the wall. For $500/ night, not worth it.

We have made many updates to that room- including fresh paint, new carpet, an Ethan Allen bed frame, and even a new vanity. We feel that with our given amenities, our rooms are priced according to their worth, and in line with other properties in town with similar amenities.

The King bed was comfortable in our room. We enjoyed the living area of the Inn in front of the fireplace. I think softer lighting in the bedroom would make the room more cozy. Also the sitting area in the room could use more comfortable chairs. Overall excellent facility.

Excellent location to restaurants and shopping. Our room was clean and pretty. Bed was very comfortable! pillows not so much. Comfortable chairs in room. The breakfast was delicious!! You got to choose from two options. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint was not having a fridge in my room. They had one small universal fridge for entire place. They did have ice machine and water refilling station. I would definitely go back if in the bar harbor area.

Anna the host was fantastic but the gentleman that took over after her wasn’t nearly as friendly or helpful. The Primrose is beautiful and we were surprised to find our room had a lovely balcony. Breakfast and afternoon treats were a delight!

Just Outstanding!
We unexpectedly wanted to extend our stay and our hotel could not accomodate us. Thus, we lucked out and got a night at The Primrose. Wow! What a great place. I only wish we had booked here for our whole trip. Everyone was so nice. The room was great, what a comfortable bed. It is so clean. We even had a porch with a porch swing right out our bedroom door. The afternoon snacks were delicious, but that breakfast! They were serving Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with a Rasberry Composte or a Mushroom Pancetta Frittata. My wife had the frittata and I had the pancakes. Both were great. They were served with fruit and outstanding potatoes. They also served an almond poppyseed bread that was so moist. Topped everything off with some Blueberry coffee (regular was available as well). This is a little gem hidden in Bar Harbor. We hope to come back, but, next time spend our entire stay here.

Beautifull inn, walking distance to "downtown" Bar Harbor. Staff was very helpful and friendly, the room large and in good taste. Though quaint, the 2 faucet setup in the bathroom sink is inconvenient. Other than that - excellent choice!

Totally Satisfied Couple
My husband and I enjoyed are stay at this quaint, beautiful and comfortable bed & breakfast. The rooms are sizable and clean. The attendants were helpful and friendly; the breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. Also in close walking distance to the many shops and eateries. I highly recommend The Primrose.

All of the staff were so open and friendly. Special shout-out for Jill who scrounged the cupboards for my husband to have a late evening snack after a long first day of travel. The banana, peanut butter and graham crackers hit the spot! She was a huge help in so many ways. Brandon and the morning breakfast staff were wonderful and the food was terrific! The Primrose is a beautiful property in downtown Bar Harbor. We were walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. The breakfast at the Inn was spectacular every morning. The bed was comfortable and room was very clean but walls were very very thin (it’s an old 1800’s house). We were only 15 min from Acadia National Park. Overall, our stay was incredibly lovely at The Primrose and in Bar Harbor!

Breakfast was very disappointing. Store boughten and cold/stale. When you spend a good amount of money for a B&B, you expect a nice, warm breakfast. Rooms are small.

Thank you for staying with us, though we are sorry to hear you didn't thoroughly enjoy your stay. Perhaps you did not like our breakfast, but it is most certainly not store bought. We make everything in house, day-of, and to order by our lovely chefs. Our baked goods, our egg dishes, our sweet options such as waffles and french toast, etc. are all made fresh every morning. The only things that are store bought are our fresh fruits readily available every morning.

Very quaint B&B..breakfast was OK and bathroom was very nice but the bed and pillows were awful..hard and lumpy, and bedding had holes in the edges. Did not sleep good and woke up with neck and back pain. Can walk to town but it is about .5 mile to get yo shops and restaurants.when i put in directions in google maps would give nightly rate...I paid over $100 more each night for booking ahead!!

Thank you for staying with us, although we are disappointed to hear that you were not satisfied with your room. I believe this is the first negative feedback we have received about our beds since we purchased the inn in 2020--the beds are new as of that renovation and people generally tell us they find them very comfortable. As to the rates, Google often displays rates that are not for current dates. For example, they may have been showing you a rate for November. They also may have been displaying a current rate but for a lower priced room type--our rooms do vary in price by room type.

Charming Enclave
Charming place a close walk to town with good breakfast and comfortable rocking chairs on the deck out front. It was also a very short drive to all the hikes we did, which were outstanding. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend it. Jill was especially kind and helpful, providing good recommendations and friendly conversation.
