Total RelaxationPosted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: The staff are very helpful and friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The food was excellent. The outdoor pool was superb.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was people smoking on the veranda and by the pool. Maybe have a designated smoking area.
Location: If you want shopping and nightlife then you need to get the bus to Ischia town. There are restaurants and bars along the beach.
We wanted a good hotel where we could chill out and relax for a week and the Parco Smeraldo exceeded our expectations. We were the only English couple there, the rest of the guests were either Italian or German. All the staff were excellent and would always greet you even if they didn't speak any English. The hotel was easy to get to on public transport and was very clean. We had an inside room which looked into the courtyard but as we spent most days by the pool we didn't miss a balcony. The outdoor pool was superb and warm and the weather was fantastic so we only used the indoor spa pools once. The food and the service was great - we only ate dinner outside the hotel twice as the hotel dinner was better and cheaper than any of the nearby restaurants.

A fortnight of Italian elegance and wellbeingPosted Sep 4, 2016
Pros: We loved the tiled floors, open windows and elegant corridor spaces. The proximity to the sea, with sun-loungers included, was perfect.
Cons: Having chosen a spa hotel, seeking relief for aches and pains, optional hire of a memory-foam topper or a softer mattress would have been helpful.
Location: Hear live jazz at Giardini La Mortella, admire views from Aragon Castle & visit St Angelo by water-taxi with dinner at Ristorante Deus Neptunus.
We arrived in the dark on the evening ferry and then woke up on this magical island. To begin with, we went to a different beach-side restaurant every evening and had some lovely meals, enjoying the views of the sea. It was after the tour of the hotel vegetable garden that we decided to try dinner in the hotel and ended up eating there for the rest of our stay! We were seeking a relaxing holiday and loved the warm, naturally-filled outdoor pool and the indoor wellness zone too. There was always space to sit and relax. The hotel is set in a sub-tropical garden which includes a pool of friendly terrapins. The view from our large, side-view balcony was superb. The standard of service and hospitality was very high with special thanks to Domenico for his sensory tour of the Mortella gardens; also to Freddie for the aquarobics lessons. Our hope is to return to Ischia in the future but we have been inspired to take Italian lessons first as our ignorance of the language was embarrassing.

Good location, friendly staff and very relaxing,Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: Clean, in door and outdoor pools. Lovely garden and private beach,
Cons: Evening activities and add sauna and steam rooms to the facilities.
Location: Hotel situated right on the beach ,water taxi 50 m away, can take you to St, Angelo and bus stop 2 min walk can take you to Ischia porto.
overall pleasant stay, Only issue was for me- communication: level of understanding and different information provided on the same request by different member of staff.

Perfect relaxing vacation in IschiaPosted Sep 22, 2012 on Hotels
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and we had a great stay. The room was clean and adequately sized and furnished. It had a terrence with a see view. The hotel has it's private part of the beach for it's guests. Two thermal swimming pools. Great SPA and different types of messages. The breakfast was so good and they had the best cappuccino. The staff are so friendly and so helpful. If you want to relax in a nice place on an Italian beach, that's your place. It might not suite travelers who want a share if night life. I look forward to returning back to PST, and would recommend it to all my friends.

Good base to explore IschiaPosted May 7, 2012 on Hotels
This hotel would be amazing in warm, sunny weather - right on the beach. Unfortunately we had bad weather so we explored the rest of the island. The bus stop is 2mins away with regular buses all day long. After a big day of sight-seeing it was great to swim and relax in the hotel's thermal pools outside and in the wellness centre.

the start of a fantastic honeymoonPosted Oct 14, 2010
The hotel was beautiful and was directly on the beach, which was also very beautiful. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and so accommodating, some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. The location was a bit remote but the bus stop was right outside the hotel where you can get the bus to the different parts of the island. My husband and I stayed there for the first three days of our honeymoon and it was a perfect start.
