Small, welcoming resort by a lovely beachPosted Mar 8, 2017
Great place to stay with young children. Staff very welcoming, pools were the right temperature (although they could do with a shallower one for small kids), and the food was excellent - way better than I expected for an all-inclusive resort. The beach is great although the sea was a bit rough while we were there so wasn't ideal for children. Watersports all free and in good condition. Highly recommend taking a glass bottom boat trip with Dwayne and Jason - snorkelling with turtles and lots of fish close-up around the shipwreck.

Perfect locationPosted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: Quaint, colorful, comfortable, on a hill
Cons: More waitresses at breakfast. Just didn't seem to be enough help.
Location: Oistins a must! The fish fry and music on Friday was worth the wait to get into town! Also took a trip to Holetown via bus - great time
Amazing staff, always willing to make your stay comfortable. One of the cleanest resorts we have ever stayed, (and we've stayed at many!). Food was very good, always something new and delicious. It's not the resort if you are looking for a lot of activity, quiet nights lovely location. Easy access to hop the buses and get around the island. Would definitely return, it was our first trip to Barbados!

Mediocre hotel at bestPosted Dec 3, 2016
This is certainly not the luxury hotel it advertises and PRICES itself as. The rooms are adequate and the view is great as is the view from most hotels on the island The food is terrible! It is the equivalent of a 3 star hotel in Europe if that the evening buffets are cooked in the morning I think. The food is tasteless and overcooked breakfasts were saved only by the omelette station. If you want luxury then look elsewhere

Delivery falls shortPosted Dec 1, 2016 on Hotels
Definitely mixed. Delivery falls short of expectations. Many good things – which is why we returned – such as friendly, positive staff, smaller community feel, plenty of sun loungers, choice of restaurants, good cocktails, wonderful surprise special champagne in Barbadian colours for Independence Day (30 Nov). However, apart from the dining staff, things are very slow. The staff need to be actively encouraged to deliver and often this meant asking for things three or four times, whether it be milk to the room, pool towels or searching lost property. Although we are repeat visitors, and we advised them that we would be celebrating our 30th Wedding anniversary and we paid for a mid range room, we were put in the grottiest possible room in our price bracket that was one, of two, that gazed through a chain link fence to the ocean. We had the bonus of a leak around the seal of the toilet, which on tiled floors was almost lethal. We asked to move, to the identical, and still very tired (but actually worse bathroom, although it didn’t leak), room three floors higher. Good job we did as that night the original room flooded. Nobody made any mention of our special occasion even though it was highlighted in the booking form and the reception staff asked us if there was anything special. And that’s the real point, the staff are superficially helpful, but just don’t deliver. Regrettably, we won't be returning.

A great place for a holidayPosted Oct 25, 2016
Pros: The hotel wasn't too large and it was always possible to get a sunbed, also the friendly staff providing us with refreshments on the beach was great.
Cons: Nothing other than a very poor shower in our bathroom and the poor quality of the 'house wine'. Also a bit noisy from a large group staying there.
Location: To be honest there was little or no need to travel out for the week, however we did go to 'Waves' for a great meal and took a taxi to Bridgetown.
The resort was in a great location and the hotel had all the amenities that you would require, including a fitness center, free water sports and a choice of 2 restaurants. In addition the all inclusive package also provided us with the opportunity of eating at 2 other hotels in the chain, however 1 of them was too far away to make it worthwhile. The food in general varied in quality from day to day but overall it was fine.

Overall good experiencePosted Jul 28, 2016
Pros - a la carte, size, tours, activities, food, location, snacks brought to you on the beach by staff, good free wifi, good beach loungers with individual shade options Cons - rocky beach, bathrooms are clean but could use updating, staff need to bring around alcoholic drinks to guests - no service here, not a lot of loungers around the pool

wonderful treat for our silver weddingPosted Jun 15, 2016 on Hotels
this was a special trip for our silver wedding anniversary and we were overwelmed with the service, and quality of food. The staff were helpful & friendly at all times. We enjoyed the watersport options on a few days and managed to swim with turtles in the sea opposite the hotel on a couple of days. Quite understand why they have so many repeat bookers
