Lovely location. Nice hotelPosted Nov 26, 2015
Pros: The Ocean view room, location and inclusive facilities
Cons: The consistency of the food. The hotel is a little tired in some areas. This didn't affect us enjoying the holiday.
Location: Location is great. Other top class restaurants and bars just a short ride away, should you fancy a change.
The hotel is on a beautiful beach. They offer inclusive facilities such as snorkelling, turtle trip, hobie cat, which was a bonus. The staff were very helpful. The Ocean View room was definitely worth the upgrade for the view.

Pros: had charm
Could have been more bars especially on the beach, at least a portable bar. Had to leave the beach for even water. Restaurants were very good, would like to see a buffet every night at dinner.

Stunning placePosted Nov 16, 2015
Waves is set on a stunning beach in the west coast of the island. If you are looking for 5 star luxury this is not the place for you but if you manage your expectations you will not be disappointed. The food was great, the bed is very comfy and in the main the staff are very friendly and helpful although expect to wait a while for your drink with your meal. Personally I had a fantastic time and would stay at waves again. I feel I got exactly what I pais for.

Not what it seemPosted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: See previous answer
Cons: See previous answer
The resort was a bit dated the part that we stayed in you had to cross the street to get to. All the activities including the food was on the opposite side of the street. There was no mini bar even though it was stated online and even in there brochure that was a mini bar in each room at the hotel. But the hotel staff said that they do not do mini bars. There was limited food selections and it was not available throughout the day like all other all inclusive resorts. Not a bad place but would not revist.

close to beachPosted Nov 11, 2015
Pros: Some staff did try to accommodate when there were issues. Spa services were fantastic.
Cons: Food choices - many days food offered in the buffet and a la carte restaurants was the same. Increase excursion choices. Improve entertainment.
Location: Short bus ride to Bridgetown, 7 minute to supermarket.
Some staff were knowledgeable with food allergy issues and made every attempt to ensure there was food available - those staff I will remember! Most accommodating were the staff in the Seascape restaurant. Very disappointing that although the hotel was contacted prior to booking to ensure gluten free food was not going to be a problem, the food services people were unaware until I advised them and some did not appear to realize the importance of no cross contamination of gluten was very important. Upon check in, people should be advised to book their excursions and which ones are included in your package. I had to ask about them. There appears to be little or no training provided to the staff. Staff appear to lack direction and or management. Spa services provided were fabulous - massage and manicure. Entertainment finished by 10:30 pm.

Very nice first night, after that not so much.Posted Nov 11, 2015
Balcony lights didn't work, I talked to the front desk, the entire stay they weren't fixed. Sundays locals come for lunch.. reserved seats and that causes you to eat in your room. I'm sorry, but I paid to eat in the restaurant. The view was incredible, the water sports crew is awesome, diving instructor was as well. Front desk, useless. Spa is open to public so you can barely get in, and when you do it'll mess up other things.

Great first trip to BarbadosPosted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: Friendly Staff Clean rooms Tasty food
Cons: Air condition for the common areas wi-fi in rooms
Location: The hotel is right on the beach and a quick bus ride to Holetown and Jordan's (supermarket).
My boyfriend and I stayed at Waves Hotel this past week in celebration for his birthday. I must say I was a little ambivalent about staying at Waves due to some of the reviews BUT I was happy with my decision to book Waves. We were greeted by Richelle in the lobby who was welcoming and shared with us that we were upgraded to an ocean front room. My first impression of our room was wow! The view was AMAZING and the room was CLEAN! A great first impression I would say. Then that night we had dinner at East ( Pan-Asian Cuisine) which was super nice. Our server Valerie made the expression even better with her attentive service. The staff at Waves were accommodating and friendly and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Jimmy the Bartender made sure we had strong tasty drinks. What can I say....it was a great experience.

On the beachPosted Nov 1, 2015
Pros: Location and room looking out over the sea with loads of room, dressing room, bathroom, sitting area and large balcony.
Cons: No glitches in restaurant
Location: Everything is close in Barbados - horse riding was great fun, 4x4 was good for the day, snorkelling service was great, scuba diving training very good
Excellent food, perfect location. Food exceptional, except for one night of glitch in the Seascape restaurant, where everything took an age (an hour and a half) and was not as good. It was one night, but stood out massively as the rest of the stay the food was amazing. Cocktail range at All Inclusive was extensive, afternoon tea very welcome, lunch buffet and breakfast buffet delicious, and evening meals varied in the three restaurants, as well as fish fry and BBQ, so a variety to please. Mosquito lotion essential all over Barbados - cannot emphasise this enough - look at the British Embassy website for info at the time of travel. Would use the hotel again :-)
