Pros: everything about the hotel made you feel special and relxed
Cons: nothing
Location: A little bit further out of the madness of the tourist area but there is lots of beautiful buildings and good eating places where the locals go
you open the secure doors to a world of modern design with a hint of the traditional. From the luxurious curtains that drape the walls to the high quality flooring, this is presents a haven of tranquility close to the centre of Barcelona. All the furnishings are of the highest quality with the bathrooms outstanding with high end toiletries and robes. The food complimented the rest of the hotel and the staff was excellant.

Fantastic Hotel in Barcelona with Great staff!

Our experience with ABaC hotel in Barcelona was tremendous. David met us at the entrance and escorted us to the office. He then escorted us to the beautiful outside dining area for complimentary coffee and snacks while they made sure all was well in our room. They accommodated our request for early check-in and then took special measures to help obtain my suitcase which had been sent (mistakenly) by the airline to another city. We had the suitcase back in our custody before we left ABaC. The staff also helped my wife obtain a wheelchair for temporary use while we were traveling around Barcelona. The entire staff went above and beyond in all respects. The property was extremely clean and very modern. If I travel back to Barcelona, I will stay in ABaC, without a doubt.

Extremely comfortable hotel

Pros: The comfort of the bed, the garden, the service, the blackout curtains, the rainshower room, the tranquility.
Cons: The restaurant is very overrated - out of the tasting menu - two of the dishes were outstanding, two were really unpleasant and 5 were average.
Location: Take the 196 bus up the hill to Mirablau - for a stunning view over all of Barcelona.
Luxury hotel offering high level of comfort, peace and tranquillity, set in a lovely garden on a hill overlooking Barcelona. Although, out of the main tourist areas, it is very convenient for the Metro and buses into town. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, including providing us with a kettle to make tea in our room. Spa facilities, including pool are on offer as well as a 2* Michelin restaurant. It is, however, very expensive.

Private elegant oasis

Quiet elegant private oasis in middle of city catering to foodies. Service, fine dining exceptional with food prepared by well known Michelin starred chef Jordi Cruz.

LUXURY LIES IN THE DETAILS

A critical and negative review as the Abac has potential, is a beautiful boutique hotel, staff is lovely, but can’t be considered a top luxury hotel at all. I took the time to list all “details” that weren't quite right, and speak with staff and manager. This email went unanswered. Staff is efficient, smart, friendly and tries their best. Location is definitely out of the way The Abac could have made up for that by having maybe not a pool, but at least lounge chairs on the grounds. My terrace had none, which made it rather useless. ROOMS & SUITES Very quiet (rare in Barcelona - no banging doors from 7AM as at the Mandarin). Great bed. Being nice isn't enough to run a luxury hotel, and 5*L guests come to these hotels precisely not have to bother about Wifi or the shower not working.
