Very nice looking hotel in regards to the style of the rooms. Complimented with the most friendly helpful team. From the doorman/concierge to the reception team and management. The only downside was the hotel claims the rooms are soundproofed BUT they are not. So be warned. If you don't mind noise and can sleep like the dead they go for it. Perfectly located hotel. But if like me noise keeps you awake then sadly this isn't the hotel to choose. Which is a real shame

Clean hotel. Courteous staff. Walkable to some excellent restuaurants and to many of the local attractions. Short walk to La Rambla and 15 min to Passeig Garcia. Taxi dropped us a few blocks away since the area was closed due to Christmas events. So a bit of a walk with bags.

Incredibly beautiful hotel, in the perfect location to soak up everything the gothic quarter has to offer. The style, design and rooms are stunning. Huge windows, balconies, high ceilings, furnished with everything we could need. The staff were fabulous. Check in and our was fast and efficient. Easy to reach everything you could need in Barcelona. Bathrooms and shower were of a high quality, comfy beds and striking style.

Arai Aparthotel was great! Staff really take care of their guests. For instance, Dennis such a kind soul went beyond (I feel) to assist me when it was impossible to get taxis due to a marathon and protesting. Need I say I had some heavy heavy luggage. Well he took it upon himself to make sure I was not struggling by walking with me some distance to place me in an area where I could get a taxi. Then he help me to get a taxi which was not easy. Thanks a MILLION Dennis! I will forever remember you young man.

5 days in Barcelona
Great location in the Gothic section of town. Also close to a couple metro stations which we used regularly. Staff and room nice. Multitude of stores and tapas bars within minutes. The squareout the back of our room was quite loud in the earlymorning hours, but didn’t cause too much of a problem. The staff was very good about answering questions and scheduling transportation. I would recommend it as a place to stay in the gothic section of Barcelona.

just way too expensive for what it was. 500 gbp per night for a family room which was just a standard sized room with two sofa beds that were v small. and the quality of everything was just ok. just 4 star. not 4 plus in any way.

This is an absolutely beautiful property in the heart of the Gothic Quarter with the BEST staff. They were beyond welcoming and warm and shared such useful advice and their enthusiasm for Barcelona. The rooms were beautifully done up and the balconies petite but so welcome. It was nice to be able to stand outside and soak it all in. The roof top pool is small, but charming and the kids loved ending busy days with some pool time. Lovely clean towels were also always available upstairs which was great. There are a few small cons which are what’s stopping me from giving a 5 star review 1.) our AC wasn’t working the first night, the front desk staff was very responsive and someone came to fix it the next day but it was a warm night. Even after the fix it wasn’t necessarily cold but workable. 2.) no mirrors in the family suite - made getting ready for our family of four a bit tricky. 3.) we asked them for and received an iron, but there were no more ironing stands available so I did a lot of awkward ironing on my bed!

Excellent little hotel.
This hotel is really well maintained and in the situated well between the beach area and the gothic area. There are plenty of eating areas at two squares each within a really short distance.
