Good hotel but be careful of your room choice

When we arrived, we asked for a quiet room. The receptionist offered us an interior room. We said fine, as long as it has windows. She said it did and it did... but the windows looked out onto an interior courtyard with a roof. No air. No aircon in the rooms in winter. It was around 11 degrees outside at night, 27 degrees and stifling in the room. It was an unbearable night.
The receptionists (who were all very helpful and polite), changed our room the following morning. Much better. Windows onto an exterior area with other apartments around it. A little noisy with a drone from a generator but bearable. Great shower but the bathroom stunk of drains, so we left the window open. Problem solved.
The walk-in shower was excellent and the room itself was very clean, with a 'Premier Inn' type décor. No real complaints there for the value for money.
Breakfast was very good for 9 Euros. There was everything you would want; cereal, yogurts, fruit, pastries, hot eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. with tea and coffee machines.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Paral-lel is on two Metro lines, one of which takes you directly to La Sagrada Familia. No D20 bus takes you to gorgeous Barceloneta beach, while No 24 takes you to the door of Parc Guell. Perfect.
