Great studio apartment in Gracia quarter

My wife and I decided to get an apartment in Barcelona, rather than a hotel room. The apartment is in small building off a small street, near metro and mass transit. The neighborhood has many small restaurants and bars. Brian, a very pleasant young man, met and showed us the apartment. It was a spacious studio with kitchen, TV, Internet (wireless) and a clothes washer. Brian helped us locate various landmarks, metro stations, etc... We shopped at local markets so we could make some meals and snacks in the apartment. After a long day of sightseeing, we would wander the narrow streets and find an interesting restaurant to sample tapas, paella, etc... for dinner. It was nice being away from the busy downtown areas, but close enough to have a short public transit ride for sightseeing.
