At check-in, we were led to our flat where the previous guests were still inside the unit. We waited in the hallway our luggage as the previous guests filed past us.
After putting down our bags and given an extremely rushed tour of the apartment, we left the apartment to give the maid time to clean.
We were gone for an hour and a half and at returning, the maid was still there, but the apartment was far from clean. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days at our arrival. There weren't enough towels given our guest count and a bag of dirty linens from the previous guests was left on our balcony for three days before someone came to collect it (after I had emailed the management group).
Given the inconveniences at check-in, I had asked the management group if we could have someone come and re-visit the flat for cleaning (specifically the bathroom, where the floors and shower were covered in someone else’s hair), I was told that it would be an additional charge, even though it was the fault of the management company’s at the incomplete cleaning in the first place.
The beds were uncomfortable and would the springs would squeak when breathing deeply as you fell asleep. Not to mention that the sofa couch was stained (yuck!) and sagged deeply in the middle. In addition to mattress problems, the quilts at the end of the beds were visibly dirty.
Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the experience given the cost and photos on hotels.com.
