We stayed for a total of 8 nights and from start to finish the staff at the Barcelona Hampton Inn were extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived very early and were expecting to just leave our bags at the hotel Laura a front desk agent was so kind to us in checking to see if we could check in early, (when she could have just made us wait) even offering us water bottles. She explained the area around and let us know that if we need tourist information or ticket reservations they could also assist us a service we used. The hotel in general is extremely clean and the decor in the main area warm, bright and colorful. The breakfast at hotel is one of the best I have ever seen as far as options there is something for everyone. The location for us was extremely convenient the metro is 400ft away and can literally get you any where in the city of Barcelona. Near by there was a huge shopping center filled with restaurants, grocery store and shops if that is your thing. Should we ever return to Barcelona we would definitely check to see if we could stay here again. 10/10 experience.

Not what I expected
I stayed twice at HBH, one night at a time in December. Brand new hotel. Rooms are smalls but well appointed and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great. Ample and varied. Staffs is friendly and professional. The only issue I experienced the second time is they charged me $10 for a missing tv remote control after I had checked out. I called and explained I didn’t have it but to no avail. The charge will stay and now I need to contact my bank to cancel the charge. Not fair process

excellent hotel
reception: friendly staff on check in and always available. room: spacious with comfortable bed. shower was powerful and air conditioning was very good. tv gave option of spanish/english. hardly any noise from other guests. breakfast: plenty of choice and staff always willing to obtain items that needed replenishing. transport: close to a bus stop and the subway (3 minutes walk) has a large shopping mall 5 minutes away and plenty of shops/restaraunts available near hotel.

We stayed here for two nights, receptionists we’re friendly and spoke English well, checkin was quick and fast, breakfast included was delicious, they have a restaurant as well and good was great (try their burger!), room was decent size, bed was single (but being from NA, used to double or queen), stayed with my mom who is a custodian, she thought carpet needed extra cleaning and the air freshener they used is too overpowering as it stuck to the bedsheets, they don’t provide those small facecloths in Europe hotels so mom brought some but it disappeared next day (she was not happy but it was just a facecloth so we didn’t say anything lol) but other than that our stay was great, area seemed safe but you need to get on a train to get to the city centre but it’s easy 5 min walk to the station and the reception will help you figure out how to get there.

The staff at the front desk was very welcoming, specially after a 9 hours trip from US. Rooms was clean and very comfortable. We only did breakfast, which was a buffet, and it was incredible. Lots of choices for everyone. Front desk knowledge to help you choose which mode of transportation is easier, faster, and take you where you want to go is amazing.
