Mostly a businessmans hotel and not too touristy

This hotel was easily spotted even though we went the wrong way to get to it. Reception was reasonaby efficient and when we asked for a kettle they dealt with our request promptly and 10 minutes later we were making tea and coffee.
The hotel has a small square pool on the roof top but only the hardiest of all should use it if you are there in February as it does not appear to be heated; i tried it and could not get out fast enough ;-) . In summer I should imagine it would be a nice place to cool down with some sun beds and chairs there too.
We used the restaurant 3 times for breakfast, whilst it was nice and plenty of it, I cannot admit it was the best we had ever had.
The hotel is quite remote from the central part of the city and so was happy to find some nice restaurants nearby, the best reviewed; by other sources and are probably the smallest too, get quite full from about 8pm, so go early or be prepared to wait.
We did manage to walk to the beach through the local neighbourhood; during the day, which quite pleasant and did not feel so threatening like walking in las Ramblas and being more aware that there are pickpockets there.
