The room was tiny! I didn’t even have room to keep my suitcase open. Also the only window looked into a pit and barely got any light. So it felt like night all the time. Definitely not 150-200 euros a night!

very good property, overall quiet as you do not get road noise but you can get lots of noise from adjacent rooms, not sure if that is due to poor insulation or air duct

The rooms were very spacious and clean the bathrooms great size plenty of supplies. Good air conditioning, clean, and service was great host and reception. Very friendly and helpful especially Hakeem from Morocco. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I would love to see them again Should I come to Barcelona

The hotel is very traditional and beautiful but I gave a medium rating due to my final encounter. While the front desk was alright I asked the concierge on the evening of the 5th to call me a taxi. He agreed and proceeded to tell me that the taxi he had called had parked round the corner pointing out to a black MPV. He told me to walk up (5-10) mins and that it was for me. I thanked and tipped him but upon walking with my heavy luggage the driver said he was a private hire for the hotel he was parked outside. The concierge there then proceeded to assist me with a taxi and luggage delivering the service the concierge at my hotel should have. As someone in the hotel industry myself this is unacceptable for a concierge to not call a taxi to a hotel entrance furthermore to lie and say he had called a taxi when he hadn’t and accept the tip. It’s one of the core services to a 4star hotel where they’ve failed terribly. Furthermore if the kind concierge from the other hotel hadn’t helped me I would have wasted time looking for one with my luggage and got late for my flight

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Roger in Barcelon
We had an incredible stay at the Hotel Roger de Llúria after our B&B turned out to be a poor choice for us. My wife booked the two rooms a single and a double. Room was nice, had a refrigerator and a large patio with a sliding glass door. Service was exceptional and everyone we met was gracious and friendly. If I could find a fault I would say the brunch was expensive 20 Euro’s per person. The carpet in our room was clean but probably could be replaced. We found out later in our stay that the Hotel Roger was next door to the older Ritz in Barcelona and the Hotel Roger was a part of the old Ritz. We stayed on the fifth floor and we were close to our friends B&B and near the Gothic center. I would strongly recommend this hotel for your first visit to Barcelona or a second trip, if you are looking for a great hotel.

Birthday suprise
Stayed here for 2 nights In August. Extremely welcoming staff upon arrival. Having stayed here previously we knew what to expect. Small boutique hotel located in ideal location for all sights. Safe not working on arrival, but fixed in minutes by the hotel porter. Excellent service. Only disappointments were, not enough irons and lack of basic cleaning in our room, to the point all the rubbish from the bins were left in the room and not hoovered. Small point, but attention to detail. Definatly will return and certainly recommend this hotel to be away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.

A little disappointing for the price
The terrace with "City view" looked directly at the a/c units of the building opposite. I guess that's a city view but not what I was expecting. The terrace didn't even have a parasol so wss utterly unusable in such hot conditions. The bathtub had a chip in the enamel and a handle missing. The carpet while vaccuumed adequately had not seen a shampoo in quite some time. The cleaners cart seemed to live outside our room, not just when in use, we had to ask several times for it to be stored in its proper place. The general terrace (as opposed to the private room one) was closed for refurbishment. The personnel were excellent, always polite, friendly and willing to help or provide advice, no complaint there. Overall, for a 4 star hotel I expected better conditions and was rather disappointed.
