Great hotel, awesome location!

I just loved our stay and the overall experience we had in Barcelona. The Hotel's location is perfect, right on the La Rambla "strip" and just minutes from Placa de Catalunya and awesome restaurants! I was a little unsure at first due to so many options, but I was right on the dot selecting this hotel. The metro is just a few steps away, and very convenient. Loved it!!!

Nice hotel but miserable staff need to smile.

Pros: It is very central to everything.
Cons: The reception staff are not very pleasant. I found them very hostile.
Location: Great.
Hotel room was great and very clean. I would stay there again.

Hotel Rivoli Rambla is not fully accessible

Pros: It was very convenient as was directly onto the main street of 'Rivoli Rambla'. Near the metro. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, taxi's, and people!
Cons: Better lighting in the bathroom, a kettle in the bedroom, and definitely air conditioning that can be controlled to the guests own requirements!
Location: Large Carrefour supermarket opposite. The Restaurant/Bar/Toilets are not accessible to wheelchair users.
Just come back from a 2 night stay. The staff were all keen to please and were very welcoming. There were 3 adults in our party so we had booked 2 double rooms and had requested one room to be near the lift which we were given (both rooms on floor 2 and opposite each other). The concierge showed us to our rooms and explained the heating control in the rooms could be set to make the rooms warmer, but not colder. Both the rooms we had were very warm when we went in. After a couple of hours of having the key card in the unit to power the electricity, one room had cooled a little and the other was even hotter with the heating control apparently not working. The staff willingly came straight up to check it, and said it wasn't. They offered to move our party member to their only spare room on the 6th floor, which they accepted. The heating unit worked ok in this room but again the room, like ours, was never cool enough during our whole stay. So in summary, I would say that advertising the room as having 'air conditioning' is misleading. It probably does have, but our feeling was that it's possibly a cost saving method used by the hotel and that they possibly adjust the overall temperature by month. Our rooms were definitely not cool enough for our liking throughout our stay and it's only March!

Pros: Location, friendliness and price
Cons: Only criticism would be that breakfast, although good, was expensive at 16 Euros each. We used once and ate out for half the price thereafter.
Hotel is ideally situated on Las Ramblas ~ staff friendly and room excellent. We asked for a quiet room with a bath which is exactly what we got. Good location for getting around.

Great location but quiet room

Pros: Location,clean comfortable room
Cons: Tea, coffee and milk should be replaced daily in the room
Location: Great location close to shops, bars and restaurants
Just returned from a long weekend at this hotel. Lovely room with balcony clean comfortable and a good price

On the Rambla ... need I say more !

Pros: Cleanliness, Friendly Staff, Location, Price, Quality for Quantity.
Cons: 1. Include Water in the complimentary Soft drinks. 2. Coffee/Tea machine in the room.
Location: SERHS is on the Rambla so all the vendors are outside the hotel door. Try the local Wok to Walk, Bacao, Pan&Co and even Carrefour Empanada's & Coffee.
We stayed here before and after our 10-days cruise with NCL Spirit. We we're warmly welcomed by the doorman as he recognized us first as if we were old friends. As it was the first day of Carnival the place was in full buzz. The hotel was booked to the max and the staff stayed professional to everyone that was either trying to get a room booked or days changed/added. We would definitely return here if possible and recommend this hotel to everyone. I can only assume that in the summer it's the perfect location on the Rambla.

On the Rambla

Eventhough we were in BCN last year for another cruise, we enjoyed the location of this hotel so close to the Gothic area. Able to see all the activities with the Big dolls and beginning of Carnival.

Excellent location

We had a four night stay here when we recently visited Barcelona. This hotel is in an excellent location with nice staff and good facilities. Our room was lovely ( just missing a kettle). Moka is next door for a nice coffee, and Carrefour supermarket opposite. Tour busses 1st stop is a 2 minute walk. Try Talle de tapas for tapas and Ultramarinos for a nice meal both on Las Ramblas.
