Majestic Mansion

Pros: I loved all the amenities and feeling of being in your own private surronding.
Cons: Big downfall, you are COMPLETELY removed from the hotel. You are in a seperate residence across the street.
Location: You are in the shopping central of every high end store in Barcelona.
We stayed at the residence in at the Majestic. It was GORGEOUS! It was fully equipped and was a FULL living apartment with all the amenities. It was the next best thing than being in your own home. The staff was top notch and were very professional and courteous. Just as a 5 star should be.

Lovely high class hotel

We stayed in the residence, so it's across the street from the main hotel. It suited us perfectly. Only thing I would point out is crossing what is the equivalent of 5th Avenue to use the pool. You can't just wear your kaftan and flip flops ! Also pool is intimidating as only has 6 sun beds and the rest are tables filled by the beautiful people of Barcelona sipping cocktails. Didn't spoil anything as we weren't in Barcelona to sunbathe but didn't feel comfortable so didn't go back.

Leuk hotel en super gelegen.

Pros: Super ligging, mooie sfeer in het hotel zelf. Lekker comfortabel.
Cons: Betere checks doen ook mbt de handdoeken. Met 4 personen soms maar 2 nieuwe handdoeken ?!?
Location: Ligging kon niet beter als je van shoppen en touren houdt. Vele mooie musea's in de buurt.
In het appartementen was het aardig toeven. Schoon en netjes. Uitzicht was beetje slecht. Aan de achterkant van het gebouw. Je kijkt uit op niets. Bedjes waren stuk en de TV op[ de slaapkamer deed het niet. Te lui om er over te zeuren. Maar voor zo'n prijs mag alles gewoon werken. Verder geen spijt van de boeking met een zalig ontbijt.

Great location

Hotel is centrally located. Would highly recommend the residences if traveling with young children. Service team was top notch across the board.

The best location in Barcelona

The residence is across the street from the hotel on the main shopping street of Barcelona with restaurants, bars, shops and Gaudi-houses just outside. The apartment was spacious wth large living area, a suite with bathroom with tub, another bedroom with bathroom and a welfunctioning kitchen. Perfect for me and my children, but also suitable for two couples. We will be back

Pluses and Minuses

Cons: Odor in apartment
The pluses of the Majestic Residence are the size of the apartment and terrific location. Apartment is well appointed and comfortable. Overall a good value for the money (as compared to 2 hotel rooms) and perfect for a family of 4. The minuses were a myriad of issues that you would not expect from a 5 star property. Two e-mails prior to our arrival were not returned by the concierge. We had confirmation that at least one of them was received but never heard back from the hotel. Check-in at the hotel is 3:00. Our room was not ready until close to 4:00 p.m. We were offered complimentary drinks at the hotel bar while we waited but not having the room ready at check in time is unacceptable. Finally, I had read this as an issue in previous reviews but I thought that it might be something the management would have addressed given that is was a consistent complaint, portions of the apartment smelled like sewage/sulfur. The odor was most pronounced in the master bath and also the hallway leading to the master bedroom. All of these complaints were communicated to the front desk. One other minor inconvenience was that to access the apartment you have to take two different elevators to get to the residences. One up to the 1st floor and then across the hall to another set of elevators.
