nice hotel. Expensive breakfast

Hotel clean and tidy. I booked a room with a king size bed but ended up with a twin. Staff not the greatest to get things done for example we reported that the kettle was faulty twice and were told that it would be sorted and it never was so we had to put a towel under it to stop the boiling water going every where. The breakfast was very expensive 24 euro or 18 if you booked in advance which we didn't bother as there was plenty of pastry shops near by for about a euro. The hotel wasn't bad but I would say 3-4 stars and not the 5 stars it is rated.

Amazing service, everything was so easy and had absolutely no issues with anything. You definitely get what you pay for with this hotel. 100% coming back!!

Pictures don't depict the true condition

The hotel is pretty beaten up, there's rust all over the bathroom and there isn't any parking if your thinking of getting a car with you. The only positive thing about the hotel is the staff, they were very kind and helpful. If it wasn't for the staff I would've rated this hotel at 2 overall

Ok but dated

My first room had a leaking ac and I had to insist on a new room. The 2nd room had a broken tile in the shower which could have cut someone if they stepped on it. There was obviously a problem between housekeeping and maintenance. Management didn't seem very concerned. They made a comment about booking on line.

Chic & relaxing / Highly Recommended!!!

I stayed with the "Level" service. We could use the lounge with light meal and drinks, and the room is "chic" and relaxing. Bathtub is always appreciated for us Japanese. This is the one which we feel "Stay longer, rather than go outside"

Nice hotel in good area

Pros: Location and staff excellent.
Cons: Price of breakfast a bit steep at 20 euros club sandwich 14.10 euros should be trying to keep people in hotel most guests ate out.
Location: Great location plenty bars and restaurants.
Although listed 5star on a par with all 4 star in surrounding area stayed in many over last 4 years for football reasons. The advantage this hotel has is the restaurant which saves going out on a wet night and a neat little gym.Hotel rooms good size but now a bit tired i.e. Carpets decor.

Outdated hotel

3 stars hotel. Outdated room, clima did not work, old carpet, broken bathroom door, smelly bathroom, water didn't drain out from the sink and bathtub. Lobby and personnel were nice. Breakfast was rich and tasty,spanish type:). Would not stay there again.

Supposedly 5 star hotel, only a 3-4 star room!

I booked for my wife and myself to enjoy a short 3 night break in Barcelona and chose the Melia on it's reviews, location and availability. I booked a double room with a king size bed. Check in was fine, but the room was not as I expected unfortunately. It was 2 single beds pushed together. I asked to change rooms immediately but as they were fully booked we had to make do with a double blanket instead which unfortunately meant a lot of falling down the middle of the gap! The breakfasts were generally good quality and the restaurant was excellent. It was a shame that there was no offer of a reduction on the price even small.
