Fine for a conference hotel.

Went to a conference in Barcelona and this was one of the hotels with a reserved block of rooms for us. The price was reasonable although I was able to get a better deal through a popular online travel website. Its a bit far from the city center, requiring a metro or bus, but it was fine for us.
Amenities were good. Rooms are modern and well appointed. I appreciated good closet space for hanging clothes up. My room faced the courtyard side and it was a nice view and quiet. The exercise room was ridiculously hot and I could not change the thermostat for the aircon as it was preset. I felt that someone could easily pass out if they overdid a workout. Not sure what the story was with it but another day I went, the weather was cooler and the temperature was more reasonable. The hotel breakfast is a fixed price and despite the expansive spread, it was expensive for the amount of food I like to eat for breakfast. After a few days, I found a local bakery that was more my style. Hotel bar and restaurant are also a bit pricey but typical.
Overall, the hotel was a good choice as a base for a conference. Amenities, location and price are suitable for business people.
