Vintage Hotel

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: It's warm cozy interior was nice and very European. The balcony view was nice. The staff was wonderful and helpful. It was close to Catalunya Plaza.
Cons: The tiled floor would be better with a runner carpet down the hallway and a small rug in the bedroom. The tv could be placed for better viewing.
Location: The location was close to the Catalunya Plaza, Metro, the main streets and sites for walking distance. Quiet a lot of on the go/sit down restaurants.
Very nice Vintage hotel on a passenger walk side street. Liked the location, close to all the winding streets, shops, sites and restaurants. Directly across from the hotel was El Moos, a great little place for chocolate filled croissants, coffee and ham and cheese, pizza for morning or light lunch. Great prices! The hotel itself had a great entrance, marbled floor with chandeliers, silk fabric chairs with contemporary tables in the sitting rooms. Marbled stair cases and a quaint old elevator. The room was on the fifth floor. Very small bathroom, with a bidet, extra small bathtub/shower combo. Ok for a short stay for two people. The twin beds were comfortable, a small desk in the corner with the flat screen tv on the wall, but not placed where you could see from both beds very well. We had a small balcony overlooking the front of the hotel and passenger walk. That was nice. The tiled floor looked like carpet.

Nouvel Hotel

Pros: Small & friendly
Cons: More variety for breakfast
Location: A good base to start for all trips , check out the metro good value 9 euro for 10 round trips, cheaper than taxi's
What you would expect from a 3* hotel, Rooms were clean & comfortable went a bit cold of a night Outside a bit noisy after 12.00 could do with double glazing Breakfast was ok but nothing special Close to the centre for all trips

Nae tea or coffee facility.

Like to have tea/ coffee facility in room but otherwise good quality room. Breakfast at almost €15 a bit steep but plenty places nearby. Central for Ramblas too.

Fabulous location in the old city

Posted Feb 15, 2017
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities would be nice along with a fridge.
Location: As stated, the central location of this hotel gives easy access to all the amenities of this beautiful city.
The location of this hotel outweigh any disadvantages. The style and decor are a little faded but efforts are being made to rectify this. Be careful climbing the staircase as the marble treads are worn by the passage of time and in places uneven. The room ceilings are high and the rooms are airy. The bathrooms are well appointed and the power shower and whirlpool bath worked very well. Towels were changed every day There was one noticeable omission for British travellers; no kettle or drinks making facilities also no fridge to keep the milk cool, so you have to take your own. There is a nearby Carrefore supermarket on La Rambla for supplies. We didn't try the restaurant but there are many cafes in the same street. With everything so close-by we were able to explore and see the sights.

Great location, but disappointing experience

Posted Feb 14, 2017
Pros: Convenient location
The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of Barcelona off La Rambla. Unfortunately, the hotel staff is unfriendly and unwelcoming. In addition, although the room was spacious and the bathroom facilities very nice, the room itself was very noisy. We could hear everything, so not sure if it is insulation issue, etc. I rarely ever provide negative reviews and struggled on this one because I don't like to do it. However, in this case, it is warranted.

Excellent location, quiet, comfortable room.

Posted Feb 12, 2017
Pros: Excellent location, quiet, comfortable room. Price in the package came out good.
Cons: More electrical sockets in the room.
Location: In the Gothic Quarter, near Catalunya Sq. Close to restaurants, subway, touristic bus, etc... Walking distance to Batllo House and Picasso Museum.
Excellent location, quiet, comfortable room. Since we bought hotel+airfare the whole deal was nice. Was a wonderful stay all together. Stayed with wife and son. Everybody was happy.

location is fantastic

Posted Feb 12, 2017
Pros: location
Location: on the door strep for all of the methods of transportation around the city. The area appears very safe and never saw any evidence of trouble
A little bit disappointed with the room size - certainly not like the pictures. However it was cleaned daily and was quiet considering that we were so near the busy night life. The location though was fantastic for getting around the tourist spots. certainly would recommend

Nice hotel in the centre of the Gothic quarter

Posted Feb 3, 2017
Had a lovely stay, asking for a double bed meant we got upgraded and had a balcony. The breakfast was expensive at nearly €16 so we went to nearby cafés as they were half the price! Being in the centre was great being able to meander around the lanes, never a dull moment.
