There was no air conditioner in our room. There was a standing fan that basically did nothing. Do not recommend...especially in August in the heat. There was also a strong smell in the restroom that was a cleaning product mixed with something else, not pleasant. Also this is not located close to Park Guell which is why we originally chose because the offering mentioned close to Guell. The walk to Guell was 35 minutes. Overall not great.

The hotel was conveniently located near the conference site at CosmoCaixa. Friendly and helpful staff, quiet location, and plenty of dining options in the area. Large rooms, all things working. on the edge of the city, but still less than an hour of a pleasant stroll from Sagrada Familia or Plaza Catalunia. The downside is a frequent smell of sewage in the area, but that's everywhere in Barcelona...

Nice location a bit removed from hectic touristy vibes, but with lots of great restaurants nearby and a close walk to the subway. The staff were all very helpful.

Not close to a 4 star standard… old and small bedroom with poor decoration and quality of furniture… Bathroom with humidity and not well cleaned. Old and small… no soap. Would not recommend

quite neighbourhood 20 min from train station
not so good. we had booked a triple room. the room that was assigned was a double room with an extra bed put in. that cramped the whole room. we couldn't open the luggage without blocking the door!. Sarria metro is 15-20 min walks from hotel. I wouldn't recommend to take a chance on early checkin if you are a long haul traveller.

Small Boutique Hotel
Stayed at the Vilana 1 night each before and after a Cruise. Was able to check in a little early both times. Desk clerk was very helpful providing us information about local attractions. It was nice to sit out on balcony with a coffee in the morning.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed! It's not near a metro station, but that was far from an issue for us! Just walk and get lost in this amazing city! This trip was for my son and I to catch a Barcelona match this week, something we both really wanted to do! The hotel was in a perfect location for us to take an evening walk to the stadium.... Wil on reception is a real asset to this place and made us feel so welcome on arrival, his interaction with my son, who's only 8, was great and put a real smile on his face! Think it helped that he had stories to tell him about meeting Messi :-) Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel and its staff! Don't hesitate to book if you're considering it, it's great value for money! Even though the metro is not close by, other means of transport are easily accessible

Easy check in process. Friendly, multilingual hotel staff. Clean cozy room with ample storage for personal items included coffee and tea. Comfortable bed. Located in a quiet walkable neighborhood within a 10 minute drive from city center.

It wasn't a comfortable stay. Room is cramped, bad soundproofing, uncomfortable bed, NO ENGLISH CHANNELS (not even BBC). Staff services were great though, except for one rude girl. Located around 20minutes away from the train station via taxi, 10 minutes away to the next metro station. Very forgettable stay which we would rather not relive.

Study trip to Barcelona.
My son and I went to Barcelona on a scouting trip prior to his study start September 1st. We needed to stay close to the University and in a addition to organising logistics we also needed get to know the neighbourhood. Hotel Vilana gave us an excellent opportunity. The rooms were fine. Clean and excellent service. Although about €15 euro from downtown I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great Stay
This is a very affluent area of Barcelona. Safe neighborhood with several options to dine. Hotel staff is superior to other hotels I've stayed at. The room was very clean and spacious. Good value for the area...about 10 minutes walk to metro station "Sarria" which takes you to the main square near las ramblas. Bus station #22 is just a block away. I'd stay here again.
